the explanation on the positions of prayer is very meaningful. this is deep knowledge which cannot be understood by many simple minds but i think it sums up why the Holy Prophet was named MUHAMMAD SAW
I think the issue of the prophets of Allah is not about who was the best.For me,what should Concern us should be :did they deliver what Allah sent them? was Allah pleased with them?These are some of the questions that matters to me but not,"who is the best "among them.Remember,we must not distinguish amongst the prophets of Allah.
Too many people there for a pure monotheist religion ! As far as I am concerned there is only Allah and his messengers or prophets, and all the rest are human beings, animals or jinns. And, only Allah is to be worshiped no-one else but Allah, not even Mohamed (Pbuh) who was one of his messengers and yet was a man, and less so the other guys like Ali who was not a even a prophet but just a human being as far I am concerned. I am yet to come across any interpretation of the Quran where Allah says that he created Prophet Muhammad pbuh first. I know we have some hadiths in both Sunnis and Shias school of thought but let me remind you that the Christians have a similar belief regarding Prophet Isa(Jesus) pbuh and they way I see it, we have adopted it from them to justify Prophet Muhammad pbuh is greatest of all the Prophets while Allah in the Quran clearly states not to discriminate between any of the Prophets of Allah. Also we need to look into the fact that we have adopted a lot of things from jewish heritage and usually all our sources are from the Ahadis and not the Quran. Allah does not appreciate story tellers who deviate people from the remembrance of Allah. In the Quran Allah also mentions that Prophet Muhammad pbuh did not come with a new message. What was the message again? believing in Hazrat/Imam Ali A.S? dont make people go into circles. Focus on what Allah swt wants and that to worship him alone and ask him for help alone without any intercessors. Quran is not a history book. It mentions historical facts so that we can reflect upon what people before us did so we do not follow the same path. I am sure people of Aad, Thamud, Egypt and many more were not discussing and rejecting Imamat instead they were rejecting the oneness of Allah and not worshiping him alone. We need to focus on fixing our own selves.

Now why would he send a person who first is schooled by humans? sure God send a person whom has superior knowledge that any human . Ummi here would mean "not schooled by humans." hence the Quran says " We sent to you the Prophet with the best of morals." which means he was already educated. Second point is , when the prophet was asked or taught to read by Jibril does it mean he only read for that day and later forgot how to read.?
