I used to attend school dances in the Armory and Yes , the Underground railroad ran through McConnelsville, ride 15- 20 miles from there, Chesterhill rich with history -they have a historical museum on the main street and enjoy a meal at the triple nickel diner

Locals call that Iron bridge the "old bridge", after they built the concrete bridge at the new round-about. That became the "new bridge".
