I used to feel like this a few years ago, I went through an existential crisis, I thought my life was so meaningless and insignificant compared to the infinite universe I live in, when I discovered that the sun was going to explode it was almost a shock of reality for me, I realize that everything has an end, I would have an end one day, but what then? What would happen to me later? the heaven? the hell? reincarnation? something else? or just pure emptiness with nothing? So what was the purpose of my existence?
Lierally me after learning about the sun's red giant phase as a kid, shit so terrifying that I couldn't sleep that night
Everything
The evolution of the planet and changes it went through
Every struggle that humanity has endured, before and beyond
Every belief, idea, religion
All of the knowledge we know of
Everything that we have done to get where we are even society itself
All of its history, stories, acknowledgement of its existence
Undone.
That's what really fucks me up, and the expression Pomni gives off the same as me

Yeah, but thats also a blessing, as if we had a meaning, we would be chained with the chains of order
We are free to choose what we want to do, as we lack pourpose and that allow us to choose and make our own pourpose
Do not fear the end and live with all you can so when you die, you do it without regrets
@CarlosSilva-bh4bi optimistic nihilism in a nutshell. You finally have that initial despair of realizes that everything is inherently meaningless. Then you realize that you can give your life any purpose you want. I just decided I wanted my purpose to simply be happy. Love, passions/hobbies, travel, new experiences, etc.

I was never really scared of death as a child, well at the same time i was, moreso the whole 'oh im gonna die' but at a single thought, one time my mother and her close friend tried to comfort me because i had existencial crisis out of the blue because I always believed that after death you don't ressurect or go to heaven/hell only that there will be an empty void waiting for us and that terrified me.

I personally don't remember having this particular experience, although I wouldn't be surprised if most of us, in some point in their life got scared when discovering/facing the existence of "The Inevitable", the stuff that is going to happen, *no matter what* ,*no matter when*
But there other thing that can be evitable.
And We'll be beyond Pluto for long before that happens.

I remember being traumatized by a How The Universe Works episode that showed that. Then I become an astronomy kid
We'll be beyond Pluto for long before that happens.
It’s honestly kinda sad, even if we’ll all be dead by then, all of sorts the surrounding things and life will just.. die. Everything gone.
What’s scarier is that even if we somehow survive that, if we don’t skedaddle out of the Milky Way, we’ll face the collision of Andromeda
@@ScorchtheHawk The space between the stars is so big that galaxies merging is very unlikely to cause anything to collide with each other.
Also the universe is big and the solar system isn't all there is. There's other stars out there with their own worlds that the end of one is nothing but an average day in the universe.
@@Superficial_Intelligence yes, I know. But as far as we’re aware, all life is only on earth.

The reason why it’s scary is that when the sun explodes everything on earth will be gone and there will be no sign we even existed.
That’s why humans will probably move to another planet! But hey, 7 year old you didn’t know that!😊
It gets worse! Even if we get outta there before the sun explodes, we still gotta get outta the Milky Way before Andromeda hits it
I mean, honestly, I wouldn't think we'll be around by the time the sun explodes. There's no way to tell. But while I'm not saying that all of us are in peril, I think with the insanity of life, not life, as in human life specifically, but life as in everything from the bacteriums to the fungi to the plants to the people, something will probably go horribly wrong. But that is life, isn't it? In the end, there is no right or wrong. Humans are ultimately the inventors of "good" and "bad."
@@ScorchtheHawkI thought andromeda hitting the milky way wouldn't affect our solar system,or at the very least not heavily affecting it
Even better, humans will probably blow up the sun themselves before that happens!
@@Superficial_Intelligenceyeah, humans destroy everything. They get in meaningless wars and destroy their own kind
