Donald Duck just being a regular person with Mickey Mouse being famous enough that Max has an alarm clock of him, and just they live in a suburban neighbour. Just raises so many more questions about the history before this movie.
My theory. Mickey doesn’t have a family that we know of right now. Meanwhile Goofy has Max and Donald has his nephew’s. I’m sure that both of them are responsible enough to not want their children raised in a Hollywood lifestyle but instead more humble and middle class.
I’m not joking when I say that I never knew this movie existed until 1-2 years ago despite watching the direct to DVD sequel (A Extremely Goofy Movie) so many times as a kid.
7:10 I actually used to think that the electric chair was a form of punishment if you misbehaved a LOT. I used to think I was smart back then, but I have definitely been proven wrong.
3:08 So in the later seasons of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Toodles started speaking. Can’t explain *why* they made the change, but that likely explains the voice actor credit.
15:16 Seeing these three dying of laughter over this one scene is pure gold, really solidified that no matter what changes about comedy, Goofy's antics will always be hilarious
If he hates how anthropomorphic but closely human they are. Then their gonna hate that one movie where a famous singer is trying to summon the devil by kidnapping this catgirl and forcing her to sing. It also takes place after the apocalypse when stray cats and dogs evolved into new humans
The relationship between Max and Goofy, as like a son and father relationship, reminds me of a father and daughter relationship in The Mitchells Vs the Machines. You’ll def get a kick out of that film.
For Context on Toodles' Voice: He did get a voice later in the series, season 3 I think? He didn't speak that much, mainly in the specials. But he spoke in every season 4 episode up until it ended. I wonder if he'll return in the revival?
