Just wondering with all that electronics does that barn have a UPS and backup generator? If not if you get a power outage does it come up on it’s own or have to be manually restarted?
I have several questions, how much of the robot info can you receive on your phone I assume it notifies you 24- 7when there is a problem. How many times a day do your cows get milked,do fresh cows go thru more times than cows at the end of their lactation,do certain cows go in at certain times of the day every day,at certain times of the day are the robots idle, how do you train new heifers on the robots and do you have some cows that have to be sold because they can not adapt to the robots, I just found you channel a few months ago,I'm from Wisconsin milked cows till 1994 in a stall barn, things have changed alot since then, I enjoy your videos
Are you going to use the harvestores for feed your gea dealer how many different dairy equipments does he handle and the former owner didn't use the facility very long how many cows can you milk in total on your new place
No not going to use harvesters, he’s is strictly a gea dealer, old owner of the farm was milking 138 cows on robots at beginning, but we won’t be pushing anymore then 120 cows as we are a 40 kg plus heard, don’t want to sacrifice cow performance.
@@bobmorse3513 yeah they are worth less, we also don’t want to take them down as there is an internet company that has there equipment on top of them, so we are benefitting from that...

Bummer, all your work changing the diaphragms, and they were not the upgraded version. Did you ask the repair guys why #2 milker had to have the diaphragms replaced so many times and #1 hasn't needed any?
Robot 2 gets 10% more milking then robot one gets, but could of been faulty rubbers who knows, the updated ones should never rip again they say should last 6 months but they get replaced every 3 no matter what
Nice to see that they use the exact same parts and diagnostic tools we do in the Netherlands
Great awesome video Luke . Great service on the robots .
Thanks for sharing! Amazing tech!
Awesome video
You are doing a super great job all round
hey Luke. great vid. thanks for this !
Very interesting video, we're milking with 2 Lely robots for 11,5 year now, no GEA in this area yet. Nice to see how they work👍
Wow that was service!
Interesting video

I like your blog very much.😃
Nice video👍👍
Cows most definitely like those brushes you can already see there just begging him to get that thing turned on for them lol
Good to have knowledgeable service people from the dealer. Do they have 24/7 service?
Yes every robot/milking equipment dealer is 24/7 service

That I am not to sure about honestly, we do not have a back up generator at the moment but have been looking into it

Very interesting about your robots! 👍Do you have a generator in case power goes out?
Not yet…. In the works
@@Northerndairyman I can see were that would be important!

I wanted to see the new brush in operation.....
How far apart are the two farms?
About 5 mile detour
Are you growing pioneer corn? I hear it's the best 👌
You’ll find out next video 😉
Is it cheaper to use the robots compaired to hire people to milk
All depends, robots are consistent, where as hired ppl are not, cows need consistency...

Do you breed your own cows or have a technician do it for you and do you sell any cows in dairy cattle sales do you have any Amish in your area
We bread all our own cows, no we don’t sell cattle in sales but we do sell a few breeding bulls on the side to other dairy’s

They didn’t even start using the cow brush yet 😉 just wait
