I went from being 28% Ghanaian to 14% to 2% and Nigeria went from 5% to 1% to 30%! Kinda disappointed my Ghanaian heritage went from my highest to almost the lowest. All my DNA hits are on my travel bucket list. Ghana is still the one I am most excited about.
Yeah I would like to see your grandmothers updated results! I plan on doing my maternal grandmother’s too because all “4” of her grandparents are born in the 1800’s
Germanic Europe stands for Germany, The Netherlands, northern parts of Belgium, Luxembourg, eastern parts of Switzerland, Austria and (always forgotten and overlooked) tiny Liechtenstein
I went from 5% Nigerian to 53%. Lol I was like woah! And I was also matched with a distant relative who was born and raised in Nigeria, which made me really happy lol. Hes from the igbo ethnic group
Mannnnnnn I’m going to be ordering this for me and my wife. I’m pretty much a mutt but other than white and Creek Indian I have no clue. Very curious about my wife’s side. There’s a zoo Close to where we live in Tennessee that was once a plantation and there was a picture I spotted of a former slave on the wall of a slave cabin. I said “Baby that looks just like Uncle Moose (her Uncle’s nickname)”. I started reading under the picture and I swear I got goosebumps. The picture was of former slave Frank Morton. Morton is my wife’s maiden name from her mom’s side. I swear if you through some overalls on Uncle Moose and you could talk him out of his sunglasses? 🤯🤯🤯 Speaking of Senegal 🇸🇳? Your eyes really do say Senegalés. That’s where I see it
I was born in New Orleans, and come from creole blood line. I had only 16 percent Nigeria, and 16 percent Mali, and Morocco, The other 45 percent, is European, My 5 percent Indigenous America
The Basques are a people, not a country. They live in north-central Spain and southwestern France and are genetically distinct from people in the rest of Spain.
You’d get these differences if you’re familiar with those parts. I know the part she is from. You have to understand that there was no Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana etc before the white man invaded Africa. What we had were tens of thousands of ethnic nations/Kingdoms. When they organized Africa along civic nation-states as we know them today, in many instances, they split people of same ethnic nationalities across different modern day nation states. Post-colonialism, you can see people of same ethnic nation/language/culture belong to different modern day African countries. Also, because these people are basically same people and because of many porous borders on the continent , it is common to see people easily move across borders. For instance the Bakassi people were majorly Nigerians until late 1990s when an ICC judgement turned the people and their land over to Cameroon. She is likely from that parts of South-South Nigeria that share same ethnic nationality with Cameroon. I’m guessing they didn’t get as many sample from those parts before and now they have more to work with.
RastafarI love distal. Thanks for sharing. Now, we know why your hair is so wavy. But, you didn’t have any Native DNA! Can you share your sieter’s updated DNA RESULTS? She had 2% Greek and I wanna see how that was changed. I highly recommend that you get HaitianGeni to help you trace your family roots in Ayiti. That way, you can put a face to all of those ethnicities! Oh, what part of Ayiti is your family from? Blessed love.#1804 #Ayiti
Aw boo, you have such a good vibe, but Basque it's not a country. It's a region in Spain. Like you had some Portuguese in you, you also have some Spain. Both countries are part of the Iberian peninsula and played a big part on the slave trade in West Africa. Anyways, greetings from Cuba ayyyy Caribbean love ♥️

I'm mexican but my results came in with me being middle eastern, jewish, benin/togo, etc my ancestry map is colorful for sure 🤣🤣
That’s partly because Spain was ruled by Moors, Jewish, Germans,Iranian to name a few and had high immigration rates.
Mexican is a nationality, its like american except theres more native blood in mexico
