@@wheresmycontacts171 I was referring to the character created for the series that was undoubtedly inspired by an incredible and real person. But the author took his creative liberties by incorporating stories from other famous Vikings into Ragnar's trajectory in the series.
This is a masterpiece. There are a few other as good with Floki, Lagertha, Bjorn, Ecbert or Ivar but I think it would be best to watch them after you finish with 6A. Ragnar Lothbrok is my favourite tv character ever and is undoubtely one of the best ever written. Between him and Walter White for me, but I think Ragnar wins.
Who can watch this with a dry eye? I think you hit the money there, when you said he wanted more than what he had and therefore lost a lot. Although Ragnar said he did not become earl or king out of ambition, he was still enormously ambitious when it came to name and legacy. He wanted to live true the prophecy of many sons out of certain kind of self centredness (I know it is not a word!). And he realized it in the end: "I wish I never left the farm." He did not regret his curiosity or being open minded and gaining new experiences. I think that the regret was not being loyal to his core family and values.
Thanks for the reaction girls....I think this tribute is a piece of art lol of all the most famous tv show caracters...even from Game of Thrones...Travis's Fimmel acting is outstanding and I'm sad he didn't get to play in other big movies or tv show... Another good video by zurik23 is ragnar and bjorn becoming a man. It only shows scenes from season 1 to 4 so it won't spoil anything else. Also a good vid by zurik is bjorn ironside but best to watch that one after you have seen all of season 5.
Girls,as someone mentioned it woud've been great if you watched dark,but I wonder if you ever plan to watch the wire? Those two shows are one of the best of all time,so I'll be happy with both)
I'm pretty sure Dark is one of the choices for our next poll (if it wins, we'll be preparing it for a little while and then we'll start releasing it ;) ) and the wire is definitely on our list of potential reactions :D
