      Man I think you are a talented, passionate storyteller. I learned many things, I thank you for that. I just hope that you gonna use your talent to spread some good on this planet. I think things need to be balanced a little bit.. Your views about the carceral system and the effects of drogs along the road are priceless. Your words worth be spreaded in my humble opinion. Also try to knoc some doors to shake some people of influence about theses issues, you are a smart entreprenor, I bet you can do something significant for our society if you really choose to do something. Set up a go fund me account for 10,000 pounds ''rent a new flat'' for the ''victim''. Then a video got leaked of him doing pea doe role play with said prostitute then tried to say it was a prank.

    Damn, thank you for this interview.
    Born & raised in tempe/chandler, az all my life and i can say with absolute certainty that this is FACTS right here.
    this is the stuff that needs to be on the forefront of every news outlet, because unless you've personally experienced addiction/the justice system, or have had loved ones that have gone through addiction, you probably have no idea what it's really like. and i don't blame you. if it weren't for my personal experiences, and my ongoing battle with addiction...i wouldn't know a damn thing.
    Let me tell you....
    How the media portrays the drug epidemic is SO far from reality, it's a disgrace really..and they ought to be ashamed of themselves.
    these last 30 minutes or so of this video is what society needs to know..
    but how they treat it now though, i feel like it's almost better not even talking about the drug epidemic, i mean the "opiate epidemic" because that's the only type of drug problem they seem to know or talk about. hey talk about it on such a surface level, and theyre so far from actually educating people on how bad things really are. and they surely don't want to talk about the justice system in AZ... that's for damn sure.
    Sigh, sorry for the long comment. But it bugs the hell out of me, knowing the media spends more time dissecting the president's tweets every day rather than covering the real issues that are destroying millions of lives AS I TYPE THIS, it's just disgusting.

    Why do they call prisons "Correctional Facilities?" It's like calling Social Security Social "security" when to low class people the amount of our checks do not provide security. For example, I am 86, worked all my life. My monthly "Social Security" amount is $700.00 per month. Is that security?

    putting people in jail for possession of a plant and profiteering off their incarcerated misery is the biggest crime of all

    • @irishmancheckinin6540
      @irishmancheckinin6540 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Just an fyi, thats not happening like that anymore. They use a different and more sinister way of doing that sort of stuff. They know they cant send ppl to prison for "possession" alone without upsetting ppl. So they put ppl on "probation" for multiple years and charge them a monthly fee for the privilege of around 50 plus fines and court costs. Then you have to submit to drug testing where if you have a drug problem, you will fail. NOW... you go in and out of jail. NOW... you're a "repeat offender" even though your "repeat offences" were dropping dirty. NOW... you get a prison sentence for violating the "break" they sold you for 50 a month. When your done in a year or 3 or 5, guess what? Parole. You'll now be on that so you can tell your new potential employer you need 6 hours off 2 days or more to "report" to parole and if you drop dirty or get caught with weed again, rinse repeat, only the sentences get longer. This is the new slavery system in America, because they bill the government for every person they arrest. Every one. Theyve turned ranching cattle into ranching ppl. But, its not true you go from the street to prison via 1 weed possession bust. Theres 1st time drug defferment for everyone now. And differment = probation/drug court. See how its set up?

    The Worst thing the govt did was turn the prisons over to corporations! The prisons used to rehabilitate. Now they put prisoners lives in danger! They come out Bigger criminals or become criminals. This is where the money that used to be for mental health went. My god how Saun survived was by the grace of God! I thought Sammy was a.great story teller on his experiences, but Saun is riveting and hairraising. So glad he's so intelligent and is doing well now. God bless you Saun for telling what really goes on in the prisons and how vindictive prosecutors can be. Your book can really help these kids and get them on the right path. They need to legalize marijuana in my opinion. This is from a 74 yr old lady that's never smoked it. But I've seen it help family members with anxiety, glaucoma and cancer. It's ridiculous to lock somebody up for smoking pot! The judges and prosecutors work together to keep the prisons full.
