Amazing reef tank, beautiful rockscape and very colourful selection of fish. I bet the view must be incredible in the evening time when the blue light is on. 🧡
Thanks for the video Sam. I've been speaking with Elias for ages but hadn't had the chance to see his tank. What an awesome job you've done Elias, can't wait to see the tank in 6 to 12 months. You can come and tidy up my cables if you want LOL. And its good to see all the frags doing well.
Gday mate, I know this is an old vid but perhaps the lawnmower blennie in the main needs a holiday across a the lounge room to get on TO the GHA. Great tanks. Regards Duzzy🇦🇺
Elias has a very nice clean system. From the wiring to the coral, fish stock and flow. That Fowleri tang is a beauty. I had one before and would definitely like to try to get another one to add to my main display. Nice tour Sam
Hey Sam, that tang is actually a white face tang or sometimes called a pale lipped surgeonfish get bloody huge 1 foot 6 inches and will become aggressive. Awesome set up although tang war fair is guaranteed with so many overtime. Wish him luck
The star is the tank and the clean sump is incredible! Not sure about a calcium reactor - may ruin the perfect PO4, is expensive upfront and lowers pH. I'd be going Kalk Meckley style. The scape is exceptional - its great to see a reefer putting so much effort into getting things right from the get go
Wowwwww his dosing setup. So nice. So clean. It’s like cable management porn. Oh and I’m jealous of the way corraline covers his rocks in just 1 year. Ugh. My rock is brown and ugly
Do people not hook their tanks up to generators? I've had terrible luck with battery backups, especially when I connect my lights to them as well. So I ditched the batteries altogether and went for a gasoline generator that will keep my tank running as normal (full light, full flow) for a week on 60L of gas.
generator is good if you are home and also good if the outage is going to last for more than one day. I wouldn't recommend running your lights off a battery, just a wave maker, perhaps a skimmer and return
Nice set up indeed, GHA issue is the caused by the scape Carib sea rockwork, while definitely the best looking of scape materials is renowned for leeching silicates causing the GHA , don,t give up yet tho as only does so for 10 to 12 months, i love carib sea scape i have in all three of my current systems, however i always soak mine in RO for a few months prior to tank set up and do weekly 100% water changes, this seems to do the trick in drawing out all the silicates. Elias didn,t have any issues with GHA in the 2100 as he used Marco , you mentioned boths set ups are running the same gear only difference however is the Scape material thus be the problem
@@ParkersReef Did you use any products to remove silicates, Elias stated he is not running any reactors, phosphate removal products will remove silicates.
Stunning tank - very jealous ! One question Sam - Those of you who clean the back wall of your tanks, if I have a build up of Corraline algae on the back wall - scrape off and try to pull as much as possible out, or scrape it off and leave it in there to "melt" away?
Beautiful tank … absolute masterpiece. Gives me a lot more inspiration to clean up mine. Just by the way the sea torch container that you use for ?mixing station … I’ve been trying to get something similar but only in vain! Any tip please?
It’s not actually a seatorch container, just has a seatorch sticker 😅 I think Elias said they were from a place called “plasti” in Melbourne but I could be wrong
Just jaw dropping. Can Elias give a rundown on how he cycled it etc pls. Did he use roller matt straight away and just how did get through any algee issues if any I aspire to this level of clean.awsome just awesome.
It took 6 weeks to cycle, I didn’t do a water change till 9 week stage, used roller filter from 10 weeks in, I just let it run its course through ugly stage
@@eliasdagher481 Thank you for replying. I hope one day to get a tank looking and maintenance like yours . It's real nice and inspirational. All the best to you.
Hi Sam, thanks as usual for your content! A couple of questions, first when you buy a chiller is it also a heater? or do you still need separate heaters? And second, where did he get those 250L Seatorch water storage containers? I looked up Seatorch and could not see them. Thanks in advance and keep them coming :)
Chillers can act as heaters too, but they're usually not very powerful heaters. I'd recommend adding stand alone heaters. Elias has shared the drums store, iplast - looks like they have some good stuff!
@@ParkersReef it looks like a young Acanthurus leucocheilus to me! :) beautiful fish…. Basically is a fowleri but lacks the blue cheeks and will darken up a bit with age!

@eliahdagher481 gday mate killer reef, I've literally just brought home my new s2 cade 2100! Just curious as to where you buy those seatorch storage drums for your water storage? Cheers guys have a great Christmas
Hahaha this is actually my dad! He works really hard on his tank. Thanks Sam
He does an amazing job, you should be proud :)
Such an awesome set up. Brilliant to have it back onto the sliding doors.
Pretty handy access hey?!
Please do a follow up video of this tank in a year or two! It is stunning and I can see it will be even more beautiful when the sps takes off.
You bet!
Been a year update please @ParkersReef
Yeah plan to get out there in the next couple months. Tank is cranking along!
Probably the cleanest setup I’ve seen.
Super tidy!!
beautiful tank, thanks for reviewing it for us!
My pleasure, thanks for watching!
One of the nicest sump i have ever seen! 100% OCD -My kind of reefer!
it is so clean and tidy, something for us all to aspire to!

Absolutely!!
Beautiful tank great set up and very organised in the dosing and cable department. Great video thanks Sam.
Thanks mate, merry Christmas to you and your family :)
What a setup! Makes me want to rip my cabinet out and start again! Loved the video Sam.
Glad you enjoyed it mate, thanks for watching!
Jeez all those blocks and balls in the sump can’t be good. Really nice tank!
Why do you say that??

Elias has this tank absolutely cranking now, actually hanging to go back and visit it again
Parker as always great video! I absolutely love this gentleman’s system. Great choice for the rock work those slate pieces are insane 🤒🤤🐐
Thanks mate!

Super clean setup. Makes me jealous.
Me too!!
That is a fantastic tank! I love the set up!
it's pretty tidy hey!?
Thanks
What is the covers for the radion?
They’re 3d printed by a bloke in NSW
With this system, could the cade caddy be put on the left side?
Sure can! Caddy can go on either (or both) sides
Nice, I’ve got the 1200 Cade this makes me want to upgrade to the 2100
The temptation is always there!!

it is difficult to move away from what is working so well, but I have faith that Elias can make it work even better!
Just curious, but was was the cost to set this fantastic beauty up if you don't mind me asking?
Will see if Elias replies, would be in the tens of thousands though
Stopped counting a very long time ago, I think up to now with upgrading everything just under 100k
So did I miss the tank dimensions? Or tank Size how many gallon?
It's a CADE S2 2100.
Are you looking to let the coral grow into the upper half off the tank?
yeah Elias will be leaving space for SPS to grow up into the water column
Definitely

Tidy hey!!!
Awesome tank , stunning..wonder what his lighting schedule is like for the pros
Agreed! I know Elias just picked up new radions too
Just put on xr30 Gen 6 pro
Hey where did he get these custom hoods for the radion lights. This my 3rd time seeing them. I love it
Mentioned in the video man, check out FM reefing on Facebook :)
How in the world do you get coralline like that!? I understand stability but my goodness I need the recipe for that
haha yeah, it goes pretty nuts for Elias hey!
I’ve never had a problem with it growing

I think it is actually a combination. There appears to be no shortage of marco rock in there, plus a little bit caribsea in there too
Clean just clean!!!

Where do you get the water storage containers ?

If you have a lot, I’d scrape and remove as much as you can.
Once you’re on top of it and there isn’t as much, just scrape and let it melt

Amazingly beautiful Cade display tank. Very cool scape! Great episode. Does the gentleman that prints those shades, ship to the US?
yeah great question, shoot Peter a message on Facebook and see what he can do mate!
Why would leds loose much if any par after a couple years use?
They burn the phosphorus coating off after a few thousand hours use
Where's the best place to get those large water storage containers?
Elias has replied to a couple of comments. Was from a plastic supply place in Melbourne
@Parkers Reef Thanks for the response Sam, I'll have to find someone in Sydney that sells them. They're super neat. 👌
Iplast in Melbourne they can ship them
