Absolutely stunning cards and 2 thumbs up to SB for designing such awesome dies! Funny story....I am not a sewer and even struggle to sew a button on a shirt LOL (and I'm 61). Anyway, I thought I'd give cross-stitching a go on my card panels and let me just say, I was pretty shocked at just how therapeutic I found it to be. I only share because I think it's important to try things at least once, because you never know how much you'll' love it, until you try. Happy crafting everyone, and please stay safe.
Wow!, This is awesome!! My head is spinning with possibilities here! Was thinking could add seed beads to the thread too! Wow this is so incredibly cool. Can’t wait to get my subscription! TYFS!! ❤️🦋💜
Beautiful pieces! Thank you for sharing! 😊💜 The people that give anyone's card or artistic project a thumbs down are just hateful, mean spirited people .
Wow I am soooooo excited to get this kit. This will be such a fun set to work with. Stunning beautiful cards Love Spellbinder dies - just the best in quality durability and design. Great job people!
I am so excited to get this set! I love to stitch on my cards! I’ve already done several stitched Christmas cards this year and can’t wait to do these too.
Beautiful. Love the addition of the glimmer plate border too. Oh to be on a Spellbinders design team! It’s so hard to choose one monthly subscription as postage to the uk makes it so much more than just the subscription, I’d be torn as I love my glimmer system too. So many beautiful things....😄
You can bundle the subscriptions! They have subscriptions for multiple monthly sets so they all come together. You might contact customer service to see if the shipping is by weight, or flat rate. If so, you can bundle the subscriptions you want and have them shipped all at once without spending so much on international ship rates.
DMC 6 strand floss is ideal; just use 2, no more than 3 strands of the floss; if you go thicker it will get to crowded in the holes where you have to pass the needle through multiple times. You can look here for colors and most craft stores and online sources carry them. www.dmc.com/us/thread-5000/embroidery-thread-5001/six-strand-embroidery-floss-5002.html As for the metallic threads, we have found great success with DMC Diamant thread; not the Diamant Grand (too thick); the Diamant thread can be used as is; it’s thin enough and can handle being threaded through a hole multiple times. www.dmc.com/us/recherche.html?motclef=diamant We have found this thread in Michaels in almost all colors. We hope this helps!
I agree that the finished cards are very nice, but I personally would not make a stitched card. This is too time consuming, and for those who do not sew I can see a potential mess, torn paper, and frustration. Also, there is the added expense of buying thread or whatever it is that is being used. Not for me. If I hadn't already signed up for the club with everything I would cancel this die set.
Thank you for your feedback, Julia. These dies to not have to be stitched. There are score lines added in place where the thread can go, to replace it. You can easily create with them without doing the stitching. Think of stitching with these as an optional bonus :)
Me neither but the holes are well placed to glue another color in back and I’ll be done with it! So that’s what I’ll do and it will still be beautiful!

Nancy, I’m a seamstress and quilter, and I can’t cross stitch to save my life!! 😂
We should teach each other new skills. 😁
I agree Nancy. I find this type of stitching to be so relaxing! I liked that you gave it a go!

Love the stitching! These will make very special cards.
Wow! It's so beautiful going to try some stitching for the first time.
Have fun!
I can't wait to try this!
Have fun!
These are lovely, even without the sewing.
The medallion is very appealing.
Very pretty! This will be unique to my collection. ❤️
I will be eager to get these, even though I will nit necessarily be stitching mine!

I have this beautiful set, but not sure what kind of thread works best. Any suggestions, please?
What are the colirs of cardstock used with the snowflake card with glimmer Merry Christmas frame?
So pretty. Where did you get the small Christmas ornaments used in the 3rd card in this picture. Thanks
those are our November 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month
Gorgeousness!! Where can I get the guide? I am a large die kit member and it didn't come with it and I checked the blog. Did I miss it?
Tinna Marie, you can download it on our blog - spellbindersblog.com/2020/11/01/november-2020-large-die-of-the-month-is-here-merry-stitching/
Thank you so so much!!! Turns out my fat finger was clicking the join the club button instead of the link above it🤣🤣🤣🤣
Does anyone know what size yarn or floss? And where to find?

You can also use colored pencils or markers to create the details instead of yard or thread.
