White wall is usually brighter than even a white screen but the texture on the wall is going to noticeable. I use a dual layered dark grey screen with a black back fabic. I put a thin white screen on top now I have higher brightness levels while retaining the deeper contrast levels of a grey screen.
im just halfway through the vid but i gotta say im seeing doubles on every game you showed. also i dont know if its just the camera's fault or what but even the colors are off. like some chromatic aberration or something.
My first projector was just on a white wall and it had bumps all over it. Never sent me mad at all, after a while, you don't see it anymore. I only gamed so that might be why. Levels of concentration were elsewhere. My second projector, I plastered the walls, used paint that was designed for walls, painted rest of the room black. It looked so much better.
Am I the only one who saw the horrendous rainbow effects on nearly every quick moving game he played? I know that can be an issue with DLP projectors but damn it looks terrible here.
HDMI 2.0 = not best 4k high refresh gaming projector You must have an HDMI 2.1 port to play at 4k 120hz. 4k 60hz is not a high refresh rate. This video is click bait.
@@cmorichie7202 your Xbox or PS5 will not trigger 4K/120hz if it’s not connected to a display that supports it. In fact, putting it on an HDMI 2.1 may let you push 4K/120hz but if the display doesn’t support it, than it still won’t display it. I don’t understand your comment.
@@MyFatherLoves So your only argument is if your display supports it? Of course your display has to support it. Most are far too expensive right now for the average consumer. Only saying a good HDMI splitter or bypass device will make up for not having HDMI 2.1 ports physically.
Can Anyone leave a projector screen recommendation? Any sort of setup
Silver ticket for budget or maybe Akia.
I like the idea of a projector in order to avoid owning any large/bulky items (furniture, TV, etc). Were you satisfied with the bare-walls longterm?
it is nice to see you do different placement of the projector. Making position of this projector so flexible. Great job.

so insightful, loved the first 30 seconds of the video. bless your heart
Glad you enjoyed it!
How far away are you from the wall to achieve your 120 inch image?

That's just the camera.
Can this run geforce now? What about a keyboard and mouse set up?
u can plug it with ur pc
Hi there,
How is the projector in daylight?
Thank you
DragonBall Broly looks awesome on that setup! Now they have the new X300G which is portable. I can't wait to see reviews on that one!
Does it support 40hz gaming in a 120 hz container for example in spider man 2 ?
Does this support 3d sbs?
Good video!
the texturing on the walls would drive me insane. I used my old projector to do this, but couldn't handle projecting it against a bare wall.
yes its trash. people must first spend money to realize how bad it is.
I used a laser projector on a gray heavily textured wall and it still looked really good. Brightness is key on a textured wall.
@@lukasomasta2333why trash ?
I painted my wall a really dark black then put the white screen over it. Makes a big difference especially for Black's and dark colours

Can you hang this from the ceiling for a more permanent set up?
Yes there are projector mount holes on the bottom
input lag?
But can I game at 4k or 1440p at 120hz ON PC?!???
Nope. Gotta have an HDMI 2.1 port for that.
I like gaming but i like 3D even more, tell me Brother how is the 3d Experience on that machine.........
The Dream!
no its not

That was actually my camera! If you see a clip on this video without the rainbow it’s my other camera.
In person there’s zero noticeable rainbow.
@@MinimalisTechdoes it have lamp replacement?
when i get mine, i'll be watching lots of pron on it! thanks for sharing 😉

Most people act as if HDMI splitters/bypass devices don't exist. HDMI 2.1 @ 120Hz 8K if supported.

That’s like 5 times as expensive as a ps5 lol
