    I have been shooting fullbore target rifle for over 25 years, and this is by far and away the best explanation anyone has given as to what is happening and how the sights should be used.
    Many thanks!

    Hello Heinz
    I am not a professional shooter but I have a question. In the aiming animations you show, why is (apparently) the front sight canted to the left?
    Is that the normal process to have the rifle canted? Having the rifle canted affect the flight of the pellet?
    Thanks

      If they hold the cant the same all the time it is the same as holding it straight. You see allot of people using levels making sure it is the same. They do it because its the way they feel more comfortable and relaxed.
      Thats what I learned a anyway.

      My head is too big, cheeks too fat to get centered over a level rifle, so I cant all my rifles, Gangsta style. Once your sighted in, its all good.

    Please could you show me the correct proportions between the light between diopter and tunnel and the light between leaflet and target. Thanks

    I have prescription and have glasses.. im loke 0.7 off. Not much but with naked eye i cannot see target very well. Whats weirld is that through diopter i see target suoer clearly- just as if wearing glasses. So glasses or no, results are the same...

      ...many eyes are complicated. this is a moment to contact an experienced shooting optician. Like Udo Daniel at MEC in Dortmund. He saw hundreds of shooters of all Diciplins and from all over the world. With him and our practical experiments on the range we mostly find a solution...

      A small hole can direct the light in the same way a lens does. You can also try this with just your finger without glasses. Make a small hole with your finger or hand and look through it. The image should be clearer than normal

    This is a rich kid sport. That Spy 16-sl scope alone is over 500$, not counting the blend, base, risers, etc.

    a lot of this seems pointless when the majority of the process is purely looking at the black circle in relation to the ring an matching it perfectly

  • @mahmoudzaher7170
    @mahmoudzaher7170 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So 10 clicks make 1 ring. As an example from 9 to 8 right ?

    • @lukaskucera9043
      @lukaskucera9043 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, a click for a 1/10 of the ring. If it's precision Rifle then it's super important to have fine adjustment, precision pistol is like 2 clicks for 1 ring

    How long have Diopter sights been around?
