I loved watching LOST IN SPACE as a kid - teenager. The second season could have been better, but overall it was a great show. I totally agree with Billy Mumy. They should have had a final goodbye episode.
Lost in Space was great fun. I loved all the scientific lingo and aliens. All the characters were great. Especially Dr. Smith and the robot. Sometimes I think that the show would not be so interesting without Dr. Smith creating all the antics and problems in the show. It was very family oriented compared to Star Trek and Star Wars. To bad they did not ever have a show when they finally did reach Earth, after all they went through. I did not like the Lost in Space movie they made a few years ago. The characters were all wrong and were not the same as the original show.
right up there with Gilligan's...laugh now in retro. The production was really, so very cheesy a lot of the time/mos' the time! Can share today with peeps the comedic production of it...the guy in the carrot suit is the funniest ican recall
Lost In Space had a budget?!!! It must have been not much of one! I loved it as a kid, and just recently watched the reruns on Me-TV, and I couldn't get over how bad the production was, but we still loved it back then. It sure takes a hell of a lot more to entertain people now!

My family watched this show and loved every minute of it, even my grumpy dad. The cancellation was a shock to fans of every age.

1968/69 4th season cancelled..too bad such a GREAT show at the time I heard it was suppose to extend into the early 70s like 1970/71 season.
