Yea. 100% Steve. These products are basically sifted color hardener. I’d say they are 100% sifted color hardener but I’m not familiar with this certain product. I wouldn’t add a bonding agent, but some do. On hot days , do not use a polymer/bonding agent. I use a good, rich color hardener sifted and it does this EXACT same thing buddy. Few other techniques is to wet the surface and spray which gives it a little more antique color, but if you apply heavy, you’ll have to use a brush to fix anyway. Watch for brush marks. I don’t see a need to buff the concrete if you wet the surface first. Keep a wet edge if using this product. But sifted hardener is much more forgiving
Once it is fully dry, Is it ok for it to be rained on before the sealer goes on? My sealer doesn’t show up for 2 more days and I’m thinking about putting plastic over the pad because it’s calling for rain tonight and tomorrow
Thanks for the comment! As long as the Texture Enhancer is completely dry, it's fine to get rained on, you don't need to worry about covering it up. If it rains on the slab for a few days, you would probably want to give it a full day to dry out before sealing. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!
Si if your stamping a colored patio and you want to antique it but you are used to using liquid release you just as this to your pump and stamp as regular
Thanks for the comment! We always love hearing from you!! The problem with just mixing pigment & water for the antiquing would the bond. Texture Enhancer is designed to stick to the concrete long-term. The pigment & water mixture will probably look okay, but I doubt that it would bond very well and could lead to the sealer delaminating at some point. You can order the Texture Enhancer from our online store if you can't find anything around your area. Contact Alex at alexm@deco-cretesupply.com for a quote on the shipping! I'll leave a link to the Texture Enhancer page on our website. Thanks for watching!!!! 👍
@@adamleen595I was talking about the application. It takes less skill than painting. Maybe your kids are just dumb. all kids are not created equal. If the government got one thing right, it's definitely welfare. I only wish we could afford to pay more dumb people to stay home, so we don't have to deal with them .
Can you use color hardener with water for antiquing?
Texture enhancer is specifically designed for antiquing concrete. Color hardener would be messy and hard to manage.

How to apply to fresh concrete
Si if your stamping a colored patio and you want to antique it but you are used to using liquid release you just as this to your pump and stamp as regular
when using liquid release, use this product once the concrete is hard (usually the next day) to add the antique effect.
Getting the texture enhancer is difficult at this part of the globe Sir....please can it be a color pigment and water instead of the texture enhancer

So easy you can do it with your kids
Ehhhh. Not always. Lol. Especially on a rehab job. Some areas accept the antique. Some don’t. Just gotta know what to do
