I have the B & O explorer Kegs....I remember seeing the old B & O stereo in the 1970s and 1980s...but it was too expensive for me to buy...i also have the B & O notebooks that are good.... where I live U can't get Europe made stuff...I can only get Philips and Harman Kardon...the rest is Korean and Chinese brands...I was lucky to get what I have that is B & O......i do like them ....are they still made in Denmark?
Your 1st-gen in white with a dark ring and those exact wood legs looks stunning. I’d love my Balances to be in that finish. But it also makes me want an A9. Your A9 :D. It would have been interesting to compare the 1st-gen with the 5th-gen Beosound A9.
Hi there, thanks for the video. Would you please show me how to connect to smart TV. Which cable/connection do I need to do so. Greatly appreciated in advance. For Gen 1 please.
Hello depending on the TV you have, for audio out, normally newer TV's have earphone jack which is 3.5mm. So you would need a 3.5mm audio jack to RCA which is what would go to the Beoplay A9 1st Gen www.amazon.ca/FosPower-Connector-Speakers-Smartphone-Devices/dp/B00LBK3870/ref=asc_df_B00LBK3870/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292982081894&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16327135745842293176&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9000856&hvtargid=pla-570281378591&mcid=d2f38edd64e23d8bb34c74dd363d65ee&th=1
Great video, with the 1st Gen, how bad is the connectivity via airplay vs 4th gen, i've heard stories of it cutting out losing connection etc, is that true?
The AirPlay in 1st Gen is definitely not as good as the later generations however if it is placed in close proximity of your wifi router or even better yet connected with Ethernet, it is okay not much issues
I had the same issue I turned off the room compensation and the bass kicked in try it, I personally like more bass and so when I was comparing the gen1 to gen4 it bothered me that the bass was missing. So after playing around realized that when I turn off the room compensation the bass really kicked in possibly better than the gen1
@mattcurtis8209 as both of those products are relatively newer I would imagine you should be able to via the B&O app as I see both listed there. Unfortunately I do not have either so I am not able to confirm
You know the newer generation provides for more connectivity and slight edge over the sound quality but whether the price difference justifies it I’m not sure. I love these speakers and I think that the 1st Gen delivers a fantastic quality sound
I like the sound from the 1st gen. Mode kickin
B&O products are a beautiful fusion of form and function.

They source various products from different countries some made in Czech Republic but the very high end I believe still made in Denmark

For sure I’d love to get the 5th Gen😃
I got my second A9 4th gen at a cracking deal and the sound is amazing……
Sweet!!!

I wish I could I don’t have the other generations…

Hi, do you feel that the A9 4. Gen lacks bass? I can see that quite a few people feel like that the A9 doesn’t use it’s bass capabilities..

Can you connect the shape to a Harmony

@@BangOlufsenHome lad they use CAT 7 cables, More research needed on my behalf, that for Ur quick reply 🙏🇬🇧
@@Thelondonsceneif I get time I’ll make a video and post any recommendations for song?
Miss my A9
How did you connect the speaker to tv, as im looking to have a gen 1 as a sound bar too but thought i would of had to get a Bluetooth one?
The a9 has aux in that you can connect to the tv
what is the verdict in terms of sound quality and value? a new gen or a preowned 1st gen?
You know the newer generation provides for more connectivity and slight edge over the sound quality but whether the price difference justifies it I’m not sure. I love these speakers and I think that the 1st Gen delivers a fantastic quality sound
gen 1 sounds a bit better to my years (on a $20 cans )
They be no difference in sound quality?
The 4th gen has a little more power. The sound difference is as well due to the fact that you can control the bass, treble etc on the 4 th gen
@@BangOlufsenHome so 1st generation isn’t on the BnO app where you can use the equaliser ?
@Smog104 it is on the app but you do not have any control. There are other apps which you can use to control the sound with your airplay
Sounds a9 center. Was. Fun 😊
It was 😊
👍
The same brand that made the speaker for my laptop, lol
Просто ужасный звук. Всё в кашу.
Thank you for your feedback
