My mom first showed me this movie when I was 4 or 5. It’s still one of her favorite movies. Over 80 years later it still holds up as the best version of Robin Hood.
That’s the 2nd role he was supposed to play but didn’t that I heard about. He was originally cast as the title character in Knute Rockne All American. He was replaced supposedly because Notre Dame didn’t want him in the role.

Errol Flynn is epitome of Robin Hood the best ever and was born for the role and I can't see anyone topping him in that role during my lifetime RIP
