This is a cover of 三日月ステップ (Crescent Step) by r-906. The cover vocals and mix were made by a singer known as xea (formerly known as Siro), who has recently made almost all of his covers private.

I don't speak Japanese. What I'm about to say is roughly based on a machine translation, and as such, may not be entirely accurate. I encourage anyone reading this to have a look at the text and draw your own conclusions. From what I could gather, the artist xea was diagnosed with bipolar disorder/manic-depression. During manic episodes, he puts out lots of music, contacts lots of people, and tries lots of things. When depressed however, he deletes tweets, videos, social networking sites, and generally keeps to himself. When these sorts of episodes happen, people frequently reach out to ask if everything is ok. xea asks to be left alone and claims he will eventually bounce back.
Again, I encourage you to read this note for yourself to get the full picture.
I’ve been archiving and keeping track of which songs are still available, have been reuploaded by someone else, and which are unavailable on TH-cam. Thanks to everyone’s help, every xea cover that was recently made private has been recovered! The only ones still not on TH-cam (that I’m aware of) are some of his really early covers, but those are still available on niconico. @@LuriaReimeiko I would find it odd that all of his covers are copyright claimed at once, that's hard to believe. Plus his non-accoustic covers were archived on a playlist of his channel for a while now so my guess is that he were pondering on wether he would keep them or not and go on a full acoustic channel (I think it's more of a channel aesthetic reason)

I encourage you to read or translate it yourself, but the TLDR is that he struggles with mental illness, specifically bipolar disorder/manic-depression, and has a tendency to delete videos/tweets/SNS during depressive episodes. While this post wasn't made specifically about the recent deletions, it's likely the same reason.
Either way, it wasn't DMCA in this case. On TH-cam, when there's a music-related copyright infringement, the whole video gets copyright claimed (meaning ad revenue goes to the original song owner) but is usually left up. DMCA on TH-cam is usually reserved for people uploading large amounts of copyright material COMPLETELY unedited (usually whole movies or TV shows), while song covers tend to fall under fair use as transformative works (at least in the USA, where TH-cam's headquarters are).

I only follow his TH-cam channel and nothing as such were stated in here so I would have never guessed what he was going through...I can only hope and pray for him to find peace and balance in his life soon enough.
