I experience resistance when I create as well. Ive often attributed it too the fact that once I see what I'm creating isn't as perfect in my head I start to get nervous I won't be able to "measure up" in a sense. But like you said its important not to judge yourself for this and allow for "play." Also I know sometimes we can be judgmental of our own voices but yours really is so special had to tell you!!
