I’m an evangelical Christian who attends a church that has has aspirations to become a mega church. This conversation is so needed. I’m glad it showed up in my TH-cam feed

Most Christians PAY the “ pastors “ to tell them what the Bible teaches.
Most don’t even Carry a Bible

The separation of church and state is about no state religion its freedom to worship as you wish, be it - Baptist, Catholic, Presbyterian, Lutheran whatever!
The standard is the Bible, Christ is the "pastor" - read and understand the Bible, follow Christ and you'll weed out a multitude of so-called churches/pastors Commonsense is also a big factor! Furthermore, the 66 books of the Bible are set in stone - but there are other helps just not inspired!

I only half believed that these guys social media presence was being censored when they said it was, but as I tried to find more content by them on yt, I am coming to the sad and angering conclusion that they are in fact being silenced

Great conversation! Loved it! I always wondered about the difference between the God in the OT and NT. Also, It’s incredible the mental gymnastics the apologists are capable of! keep up the good work!

Most Christians have been taught from the
    Pulpit for generations back ,
Not to question the Pastor or the Doctor,
You just do what you are told
Yes , the clergy are sly business men
We were told Not to question “A MAN OF GOD “

Tithing was UNKNOWN to the early Christians
There was No “ clergy class “
I Corinthians 9:12 Paul was saying it was best to be self supporting

Paul lived in a rented house and worked part time as a tent maker
So as Not to be a burden to the congregation.

Churches claiming to send MONEY to Missionaries is not probable .
A church sending a select few to another country to “ preach the gospel
All they do is pay for lavish vacations for the select few with the congregants
Money . After all , how many people really learn about Jesus there ? How many
Got baptized ? How long did it take the people they preached to …..to learn about
the wonderful things of God ? Where is the proof of the work of missionaries ?
More than likely the money is in a foreign bank in the religious leaders name

Tithing was food for the Levitical priesthood.
It was about food from the orchards. Vineyards
    And the land ….
If the clergy today insist on tithing
    SEND THE A FRUIT BASKET

Tithing was for the nation of Israel ONLY , a commandment from
    The Israelite God Jehovah .
Tithing was a fact of life for the ancient Israelites,
Whether the Pagan nations around them copied and adopted the
“Hebrew custom “of paying tithes is not known ,
However , they did have a System that provided for Their Own
    Priests and Gods .

The Bible should ALWAYS interpret itself . Cross references…marginal references
One scripture should always back up and support the others ….
The Bible cannot lie …..God cannot lie …..
It is the religious leaders that input their own ideas, theories, and opinions

I agree with a lot of the points in this podcast but the LDS church is getting bashed on so much for just having money. All the examples of churches using money for bad things were from other churches. I’m a member of the LDS church and I can say the money is used to help the members who are in need. For example, my recent convert friend at church often times didn’t have any food at home so the church spent the tithing money to help them with food and also 2 mattresses were bought for them. Also the leader of the LDS church doesn’t buy jets and houses from the tithe money. He was a heart surgeon before he became a leader of the church, so he already had a lot of money. Also the bishop of each church doesn’t get paid for his work. And members are challenged to read the scriptures for themselves and give talks to the church about what they find and about their faith in Christ. Also the LDS church isn’t looking to take over the USA or have control over the government.
