Beautiful Sarah. I grew up on the East coast & always had Mums on the front porch. Since moving to Texas it’s a struggle! So this year I invested in the Hobby Lobby Mums & I love them! It is so nice that they’re always in full bloom & look amazing from the road & no watering!

Tip for the mums. Get a big bucket and fill with water. Put the mums in it and let them soak from under. The roots suck up the water. Also pinch off the old flowers so the new ones can grow.

Very nice! Make sure that your porch pots have a lot of good drainage ie. holes on the bottom of the pot and elevate the pots a bit, so that the water can run freely. Water mums from underneath, pull the leaves and flowers aside and water at base. Don't give up, keep trying, you'll be a gardener before you know it.
Yeah, Mums in the South don’t stand a chance. Just get the Grandin road faux mums. They are gorgeous and will last year after year and they do look real from the road. I like the orange ones best, I think they look more real. Your home is beautiful for the Fall season, very cozy. 🧡🍁

Hey I don't know where you live or how you water your mums but I had the same problem. If you water your mums from the top it causes the blooms to turn brown and die. Try putting a tin pan under your pot or some kind of tray with no drain holes and put water in it and the roots will soak up the water. I water mine everyday living in SC. I hope this helps you 😀
I gave up on mums years ago and they're one of my favorite fall flowers 😢 But this week a guy I work with told me to get hearty mums. He said there's a difference in the types and that they're also perennials.

I found it at home goods! I haven’t decorated out there just yet, still need to finish refinishing the wood in there. Just a project I keep putting off 😅 it’s so exhausting but I’m hoping to spruce it up come spring/summer!
