Considering in "normal" gameplay he doesnt even encounter any enemies since you only meet him a couple times on the plateau and then never again this is even crazier

A defying king who lost his life because it's stubbornness and unsupportive role as a father to his own daughter.
That’s a trick to hide from Guardians. First use Magnesis, then pause the game while the Magnesis is still active. Hold any item and unpause, and it will automatically drop onto the ground. Now as long as you stand there you’ll be invisible to Guardians!

With a glitch called Memory Storage you can get the Paraglider early and skip beating the Plateau entirely! Now the old man will forever be in my game.
