    Man that looked like a great day of catching! Very smart to hire a local guide to learn an area, it knocks years off the learning curve. I did that here on a local lake when I first got here to do the same thing.

    • @WeGoFishing
      @WeGoFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah man! We are thinking about buying a house down there and are basing our decision on what area we like to fish the most. Baffin Bay is kind of intimating, but hiring a local guide helps out a lot and Capt. Roy was excellent.

      She was mostly disappointed that it was on the second time using the rod, but she didn't let that guy go!

    Good fishing. Lots of variety. Those reds are fighters. Rod couldn’t handle it. I need to get on more salt water fishing 👍

    Man you guys are working hard on this one! Broken rods, bulls lost on the motor... you are running me through an emotional rollar coaster! Great video though... really liked the multiple camera angles. Big pat on the back to Capt. Sandoval for putting you on some stacked spots!

    Awesome trip! Definitely a good idea to go with someone who knows the area and save a track or two where to run. Next trip y’all make let me know, I fish those areas often.

      I know that's right. Those corks are awesome. The captain couldn't get over how loud they are. A great product!

    Hi… thanks for sharing… questions… three adults on this boat, can they fish ok in the Mako Skiff 15?
    And the other is… how well goes this boat with the 45hp and three adults + gears? I also notice you had extra gas… thanks for your feedback…

    • @WeGoFishing
      @WeGoFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Three adults are defintely doable. We have a full review of the boat on the channel as well. If you are in the market, it is probably a good thing to upgrade to the 60hp. 25 miles an hour is about max it will do. I do carry extra gas everytime out because you never know! Tight lines!

    How long did it take yall to get down there to Baffin on yur Mako

    • @WeGoFishing
      @WeGoFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, too long. lol...top speed was about 25mph...so about an hour. If you launch from Bird Island, it cuts your time in half, but you have to pay to save the time.

    looks a bit windy out there

    • @WeGoFishing
      @WeGoFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wind did pick up as the day went on, but that it pretty normal for us on the Texas coast. Nothing our little Mako couldn't handle!

    Why is there a spinning reel on a casting rod? 🤔

    • @WeGoFishing
      @WeGoFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sometimes us poor fishermen have to use what we have. It may not be right, but it still caught fish! Thanks for watching!

    I fish all the time around there. What bait are yall using? Live shrimp? Mullet? Lures

    • @WeGoFishing
      @WeGoFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We were using live shrimp under a popping cork on this occasion.
