Chestertown has slightly less.....around 8 inches.......The main roads are clear but all the snow plow operators got rid of their equipment over the past few years......joe
I live in upper East TN and it never fails that almost every system like this dissipates as soon as it hits our mountain range. I guess that's a good thing, but I was hoping for some snowfall this winter!😩 Prayers for those badly affected by these storms 🙏
@@RogueWave2030I remember when I was little, the snow we would get in our area was massive sometimes and it was such a fond memory. But we don't see those anymore 😕
This is so helpful! Your explanation is so clear, and I feel like I have a good idea of what to expect in my area (Northern Virginia), and when the forecast will firm up. Thanks so much!
I want to see snow because I want to pull my kids on a sled from the back of my four wheeler and take them around curves and watch them topple off!😂 Then it’s my turn for the ride! 😬😉😆❤
I want to see snow because it is our sons favorite thing ever. He is 41 and stage 4 terminal cancer. My heart yearns for at least one more snowfall for him to have a snowball fight with his son.
I feel like the euro has some problems with keep the Baja low a little too strong and still, I’m leaning more towards the gfs, where it breaks off more of that energy and brings it up the coast. Might have a biased here in mass 😂
Bernie Rayno has been honking the horn about the Euros problems with ULL's in the SW. That model struggles with the placement and strength over in the SW. Joe Bastardi has also talked about it too. The Euro is a great model but it has it's biases and blind spots.
I agree since Gerald has said they are still missing info the Euro needs that 2nd piece of energy doesn't come on shore until Wednesday that's the day we get our answers, i hope the GFS sticks to its guns😊
@@mariacampos8234 I hope the gfs is exact, been waiting for a big storm. I’m just a little worried that this storm ends up in between the model runs and only clips us with a coating-a few inches
That’s truly wishful thinking at this point with most of the models bringing it out to sea rather then up the coast but this is setting up to be the most complicated storm of the season and I don’t think they will know for sure until Wednesday evening
I love your area. I lived in Bedford County and spent time in Bath and Highland Counties. I'd drive to Staunton and head west on rt.250 towards Monterey, VA. Take care, from South Central Pennsylvania!
⭕Hey Gerald, we got lots of snow in our part of Kentucky YAAY!❄ But unfortunately the ice knocked our power out for 27 hrs. Power has now just been restored. Thank the Lord for emergency preparedness and plenty of supplies. Don't wait until the last minute to order and shop for extra necessities in the event of any emergency. GodBless you all and a Wonderful New Year! 🎉🥂🎉
Looks like west Wisconsin and Minnesota are getting screwed out of yet another snowstorm. But we don't miss out on the cold weather. I have already given up on this "winter". Looks like yet another snowless one.
Southern Cambria County here in PA. We got maybe 4 inches so far, not much though. We got more on Friday from that little snow system that went through and then the lake effect snow after. Desperately want a big snow storm to hit south western/central PA. It's been years since we've had a good snow storm where we've gotten more than a few inches at a time. I can't remember the last time we had 6 inches or more on the ground at one time. I was spoiled as a child though with snow. We had so many good snow storms in the 80s and 90s here. I remember winters where there was snow on the ground for months. It's just not like that any more here. Really hope this storm on the weekend ends up going up the east coast but ends up being a lil more west so we get a blizzard in my area or at least big snow totals.
The local guys are starting to call for a wintry mix here in the Midlands of SC for Fri/Sat. We're prepared for whatever comes our way. Thanks for the forecast, GM!
Hello, I'm in South Central Pennsylvania and we got about 5 inches with a little bit to come. This was so nice since we usually seem to be in a snow hole, lol.
Watching from Springdale, Arkansas (Northwest Arkansas). We got a dusting of snow/freezing rain last night. But it’s COLD here-23 degrees at 4 pm. Kind of odd-Saturday, we had some big snow clouds-I expected much more-we are in the Boston Mountains/Ozark National Forest.
Sat. storm could really be a super blockbusting snowstorm if it takes that right track along the I--95 Corridor and stays just a little off Shore to our right. But that really remains to be seen.
Tuscaloosa, Alabama here ~ hoping to get some decent snow for my son who has never experienced one. Rarely happens here. Got fingers and eyes crossed 🤪
Amy chance the models are missing the new blanket of snow to the north (In on Atlanta)? Seems like a classic CAD set up that may sneak up on us down here.
Glad to hear you got a good pounding of snow down in Delaware!: Philadelphia: hardly anything predicted 3 days ago. I predict we will be without much snow again. Seems all the models trend toward less than more by the time the storms come :(
Arkansas again-thanks again for giving specifics for our beautiful state. So Little Rock (the capital city, and smack dab in the middle of our state) might get 6 inches of snow this Friday Jan 10? Wow-that’s a lot, as Little Rock doesn’t get a lot of snow-maybe 1 small snow event per year, but actually getting a big snow for us every couple of years. We are in Northwest Arkansas, top left corner, and typically get more snow, fairly regularly. Is our area expecting a “big” snow event this Friday also? Thanks for the info!😎😎
I am supposed to hit Orlando Thursday through Sunday night. But if NYC is getting a Blizzard I will have to cancel hope we have a clear picture sooner than later here
Watching from Cannon County, (southeast side of ) Woodbury, Tn. At the lower edge of the plateau. Yesterday warm, windy, and lots of rain. This morning & all day has been cold light snow (dry), & windy.
Great work on these videos. I know you are a student and funds are limited but do you have any plans on maybe doing some standing with greenscreen? You seem to have the personality for TV.
Bridgeville Delaware Delmarva 12 inches and still going strong .5 30 pm .We don't usually get much here but this one dumped a boatload.
Chestertown has slightly less.....around 8 inches.......The main roads are clear but all the snow plow operators got rid of their equipment over the past few years......joe
I'm watching from Eastern North Carolina ❤
Annapolis MD. 8+ inches of snow so far. I'm not excited to see another 10 inches on Saturday....anything is better than an ice storm.
Please send some of your snow to Charlotte 😉
Annapolis is a beautiful town.
I’m in Annapolis Maryland as well.
Anything is better than ice and or slush mix crap that turns into ice.
I live in upper East TN and it never fails that almost every system like this dissipates as soon as it hits our mountain range. I guess that's a good thing, but I was hoping for some snowfall this winter!😩 Prayers for those badly affected by these storms 🙏
I hear you. We're just north of Charlotte and it would just be so nice to have a little snow.

Thanks for staying on top of quick updates! Great reporting :)
Your mouth to God's ear, Gerald. We want some snow here just north of Charlotte 👍🏻
I'm in Mount Pleasant Texas, 2hrs East of Dallas.. *I STILL have PTSD from February 2021* 😳

You nailed it. About 8 inches in Silver Spring, MD, just north of DC.
Watching from far North Texas. Looks like we're gonna get a MAJOR winter storm. Praying our electricity stays on!

I have to say you were 100% on with this storm. I am in Millsboro Delaware and we have 10 inches as of 5 pm , before the back end comes thru .
That storm was e slam dunk for these dorks.
Rockville, MD 11 inches measured 5:07 PM (In one of the noted isolated spots)
