I am 53, listening to MM since day 1. Daughter is 20, just had her first heartache, sent her this song (she is in college), she cried and felt better. Told her I had the same experience listening to this song after my first real heartache.
great fuckin songs even years after i find myself coming back to this stuff because of some new girl i met that mentined 'modest mouse' which nobdy fuckin knows if you're from europe. Dope fucking band and the fact that none other than johnny marr felt right playing with them makes it fucking cool, even if it was the most unlikely combination ever.
@@SimonRobeyns why does it seem like a trend all of a sudden that people mention Marr in the band. That was like 15 years ago. Not hating on you. Just notice everyone mentions it all of a sudden. Trying to see if I'm missing something.
Yessir, make playlists for yourself. You'll find yourself back in the discographies of all your favorites when you need them. Also, you're young and there is still lots of music to be made, and even more to be discovered.
Endearing is a great word choice. This song inspires some reflection and empathy for others because the subjects feel like everyday situations that have to be overcome.
I always keep coming back to this song every time something goes a bit wrong in my life. Love this performance and I'm stoked for the new album next month.
My favorite MM song. I saw them for the first time last year in Houston. This song wasn't on any set list that I could find that year. They played it. I'll never forget the moment.
out of all the old songs they re-layered with the six piece band, I think this sounds phenomenal. It's interesting going back to this time period and listening to some of the bootlegs with Johnny Marr jamming their old tracks. definitely added some cool texture to some of the songs.
just recently discovered the mouse and this song seems to be my go to song when I want to start listening to them during any day. They have so much talent, beautiful.
You're not 100% wrong, but they're able to recreate a lot of the studio sound a lot more faithfully with more musicians. And this is one of the best versions of this song I've ever heard.
Very nice version! And with Johnny Marr. Love this song. And most songs on most Modest Mouse albums, including We Were Dead. That said, the four songs I've heard from the new album so far do not excite me. I guess we'll see how the other 11 sound.
When i got this CD I played it loud as i could over an over sgain🤔 until my boyfriend threw it out the window needless to say I bought it again the next.Day only to find it on Vinyl still one of my favorites albums to this day..great memories I been to one of there shoes it was a great time with my friends o to be young again

Been there, done that... 32 now. 0_0 R.I.P. Jeremiah.

If someone doesn't at least find this song endearing, they probably suck a lot. This song fucking rules. Good music is important.

Fuck Yes. I'm broken and I break this is what makes me human. This makes a life worth living and every moment of love worth every moment of hurt.
This band never seems to disappoint
This song is the story of my life.
Isaac Brock is a music genius... old Modest Mouse is some of the best music around.
Isaac is a genius... The volume of great tracks he's written is pretty remarkable.

Lyrics from the heart.
This song changed the destiny of my soul.

Dang. Where you been?
You're not 100% wrong, but they're able to recreate a lot of the studio sound a lot more faithfully with more musicians. And this is one of the best versions of this song I've ever heard.
"It looks like everything, like everyone's been broke so.."
Woah... The way the keyboard includes such a melancholic flute makes me wish I could hear an arrangement with a live flute.
THE BEST SONG EVER
Miss you Peep
Seriously the best band i have ever listened to.
Along with The Cure
Great and perfect for the mood I'm in right now.

I think I've watched this video at least 150 times over the last year.
Love this song and band. Does Brock kinda sound like Sylvester the cat from bugs bunny??
My favorite mm song I think
"It feels like everything, like everything is broke and so"
I hear "it feels like everything, like everyone's been broke, so." But yeah something like that. All the lyric sites are wrong.
Love, love, love Isaac!
I’m still full of shit in 2023. Almost 30 years later……
love the way this version sounds here.

Incredible. That's really all you can say about this.

Toby Flenderson on the keys!
I'm late to MM party (won't say late) but, The Moon and Antarctica was the hottest album release I've ever heard. MM past. Present. MM forever.
The golden days of AOL Music.
so love
Woohoo Broke with The Johnny Marr 🙌🙌
this is music!!!
the juice that's actually juicy
Awesome performance, and much better than the studio version.
Why isn't this stuff on DVD?!
Yeah, almost sounds like a cover version with how ornate this is.
love
It’s the end of the discussions that just keep going round and round and round and round and around
JOHNNY MARR
@DarkEnigma02 Nevermind, started working. :)
