Hi Eric, It was great to see a "little Airvan-8" all the way up in Alaska! Back in the early 2000s, I lived in Melbourne Australia and used to travel everywhere for my job in the Telco industry installing broadband ADSL systems. One of my frequent towns I was regularly working in or travelling through was where the Airvans were built, at Traralgon Airport. Still a fond memory of mine was getting a look through the factory. A great little plane, able to haul 8 people on a 300HP engine in comfort! We have a fair few of them over the ditch here in New Zealand. I never did get to fly one... The scenery of Alaska is breathtaking, nearly as good as the scenery here in my country of New Zealand! 😁
Please don’t start playing music like everyone else does, one of the reasons I like your videos (as a pilot) is the sound of those engines, especially on take off
That is the number one most asked question. That is a heated glass plate to melt ice so you can see. It is part of the Flight Into Known Icing certification also known as FIKI

what extra gear are you carrying in the event of a forced landing in that inhospitable terrain?
An extra engine😀
