This man was so disrepected in so many ways. I saw a interview with Della Reese and she said when he died on the set if royal family. At the hospital when the Dr. Came out to tell his wife he passed. The producers said how are we going to fill his character on the show. I just couldn't believe how heartless and mean to treat him and his family and wife. They are not good people. And she described Redd Foxx as a generous and kind man. Rest in peace 🙏 redd
She interviewed him a few years ago as mentioned during the peak of his success and Redd was humble and more talkative- Totally different in this video.
Interesting that they planned on him having a wife and daughter! I'm glad they changed their minds!! Sanford was VERY underrated, and so was Dennis Burkley! RIP Dennis Burkley and Redd Foxx.🙏📺🇺🇸🙏

I know most people dismiss "Sanford", the version with Cal and not Lamont, but it's actually pretty funny. Fred gets in plenty of zingers.
Fred had a REAL heart attack on "Sanford", shockingly well played. Sometimes, it was a more serious show.
Lamont wasn't looked at as a talented actor, even though he got the part on the show.
