Tenkara is a traditional fishing method that has been passed down in Japan since ancient times. In this method only a rod, a hook, and a fishing line are used. It is mainly used for catching yamame trout, amago salmon, and char, and has been handed down from generation to generation by "matagi," professional fishermen who live in the mountains and fish in the upper river basins. In recent years, tenkara fishing has become popular among outdoor enthusiasts because it is easy to do.
テンカラは日本に古来より伝わる伝統的な釣り方で、竿と毛針と釣糸のみの仕掛けが特徴です。
主にヤマメやアマゴ、イワナをターゲットに、山間部を流れる河川の上流域が釣り場とし、
山に住まう職漁師『マタギ』によって伝承されてきました。
近年では手軽に出来ることから、アウトドアファンにも人気があります。
