Il never forget washing my grandmother's forehead and looking into her eyes as she smiled at me.. I asked her, "Gram did I do a good job taking care of you?!" And she grabbed my hand so tight and looked at me with tears in her eyes and she said "Oh honey.. you were wonderful, I love you so much.." we cried and hugged and then she passed 3 days later.. love you grandma Martha
What makes this song sound even sadder in this instance is the picture you provided with it. It shows the boys at a time where their friendship was unbreakable, yet this song came from the tape that split their friendship for a while and disbanded Ween. It sucks seeing that happen.
You're thinking of the Caesar demos Billy. Those were the ones that were a contributing factor in Ween's breakup. This is from the Long Beach Island tapes.
this reminds me of golden hour, right before the sky turns magenta and baby blue, sitting in a sunflower field by yourself and the breeze soothes your troubles away like water
I'm so glad these demos and outtakes exist. Ween has already released more albums than most bands I like, but the fact that they have hundreds of more songs to discover that never made it to any albums (somehow) will always keep me coming back and truly shows why I love them so much.
@@noahgilliland5001 there's some pretty bad ween songs. but for every "molly" there's a " she'll only get you" waiting to be uncovered. and even the "bad" songs have funny merits. ween has been making epic songs since before their first album! I really wish there was this one video of them playing one of their earliest songs "red like satan" uploaded here on yt, that video was incredible at showing how dedicated to music, playing music and songwriting they have been since an early age.
@@ffy0000 whats that supposed to mean lol. i've been into Ween since I was 5!!! XD that "red like satan" video of them when they were like 16 playing it on a haycart....its some beautiful stuff...
Covered in dirty from the land Wash me down Wash me down Sank by sleeping in your head Wash me down Wash me down Build a better feather 'til the weather's gone Gone Ooh-oo Ooh Ooh-oo Ooh Build a better feather 'til the weather's gone Going home Take it, Deaner

23 year old who’s been a big fan of Ween for 4 years now. I can’t believe I’ve never heard this one. It’s beautiful. Almost like shoegaze. I wish it was on Spotify, but this will do haha
ya know, aaron's knew album was okayish, but i'd love to see a new ween album in the next couple. sober or not. i can't wait until they get old and senile. that will be some good shit. ipecac and salmon fishing.
peace frog ween has saved my life and many others and will continue to do so for generations i hope. May the boognish bless you with everything great in this life

This made me really emotional. Sending love to you and your Grandma Martha!
I washed her forehead first
you are an amazing soul
my funeral would ideally be 2 minutes and 36 seconds long then everyone just goes the fuck home
you know, i think this is appropriate and understandable
i took mushrooms to this song and looked at the sky,it was one of the best days of my life, i cry almost every time i hear this song, thank you WEEN!
Beautiful.
Such a somber "Take it, Deaner..."
So good. hail Boognish

Oh no way its billy I've seen your stuff before. Didn't expect to see you here in the deep brown

@@sheffielddave4117 perhaps I was, I thought it was this demo tape
the caesar demos had nothing to do with the breakup of ween. there were actual problems behind the scenes like gener's drug problems
this reminds me of golden hour, right before the sky turns magenta and baby blue, sitting in a sunflower field by yourself and the breeze soothes your troubles away like water
Honestly - one of their absolute best songs. How it didn’t make the cut for the record is beyond me. Love you, Aaron and Mickey
This is a special shade of brown. Love it to death, mang.
I think I want this song to play at my funeral.
I like that comment
I think I'm in the same boat as you 🖤
Me too mang.
My friend sent me this song and I ate celery with hummus. The celery and hummus were just okay but the song was delish. Salame

Maybe "sleeping in your hand" - why not rhyme?
and "build a bed of feather till the weather is good" ?
Thanks mang

Been listening to Ween for a while now but have only just discovered this song...man, it is so beautiful. Wish I had found it sooner!
This made me cry before...
Ween and fishing, the only things me and my father ever bonded over.
The brown... deep... dark... Boognish... The world is missing out
Ben Zink they are too good for this world

Fuck I miss Ween so much.
thank you boognish for making this brown possible
Absolutely beautiful uwu
You uwu’d on a ween song before uwu got big again
Really uwu, agreed.
What I've figured out:
Verse: F C C F
Chorus (if you can call it that): D G
Play it along with the song, and you'll see where I got it.
You should make some cover vids or something, cool of you too keep posting chords n stuff on their vids.
How could of this not of made the cut?
I love ween.
Brown Side of the Moon
I mean, could this band get any better?channeling Floyd in the darkest most boon and brownest form.
