To the narrator, please be more specific when giving instructions such as how many whistles are needed before removing the kappa from the flame? Should it be on a high, medium or low flame? Also how much of each masala should be used for the fish curry? Remember people watch this show because they may not know much about indian cuisine so please be specific. Also it would be great it the camera man could shoot a view of the curry when the lady is adding the curry powders.
Pathetic. She is not saying anything on what she is doing or using; no smile on her face either. The idiot who is explaining in his Brit-mix English is sleeping in between his words. Why would she appear in an attractive sari with lot of gold ornaments to demonstrate her cooking?

@celeriacmarcus Kappa is essentially just tapioca - it's a root vegetable similar to Yams but it's a bit more starchy and usually made savoury :)
@celeriacmarcus It's most comparable to potatoes (as far as root vegetables go), but it's more fibrous once cooked.

hmm i wouldn't serve it right away.. fish needs some hours to absorb the flavours.. i would have it over night and reheat it.
I have to go and buy a sari before I cook. I don't think the food would taste as good without the cook wearing a sari.
