What stood out to me the most about his game is his basketball instincts. He knows where to be on the floor. He takes advantage of space really well. He knows how to position himself for rebounds, putbacks, and post-ups. He had a great feel of the game.
People don't realize how good Pope was.....had he not played on a literal all star team he probably would have averaged 20 points a game. Dude could ball!
I hope UK embraces the Mark Pope era uniforms and wears these a bunch. Never liked the denim uni's but im sure they'll be used as throwback in 2026 in celebreation of the 30yr anniversary of the Untouchables.
