Anton I never thought I would ever be watching videos on buses but I really enjoy your videos I’m a concession bus pass holder (disabled) I was wondering the last time I was in London was 2008 I always wondered since watching your content do disabled pass holders travel for free just with Oyster card system
In Sheffield the announcment system is so slow that halfway through the message saying the next stop youve gone past it
It can cause hearing issues. If I was a bus driver I would be concerned and worried. Still fair play for trying.

A lot of passengers take no notice
There has been times were I'm going find somewhere to sit down and the driver ( some drivers do it and some wait until you sat down ) pulls away and I nearly face plant the floor and I think to myself can you just wait until I sat down first and I have seen people struggling to get to their seats as the driver pulls away to fast
When you said London, did you mean Central? If you did, it's not just central London, in southeast London it played on the 244. As regards that bloody irritating announcement, [which usually comes on when the bus is moving !] , when did it become necessary after all these years to state the obvious ?
I have travelled on buses since I was ten years of age in Europe and the USA and nowhere have I heard this.Did some 'jobsworth' in TFL think we did not have enough noise in our lives ?
It is even worse on the South Western Railway where as soon as one steps on the platform to escaping from their constant computer generated childish instructions
[invented by someone who rarely travels on public transport ? ] and now on the bus.
Many of these routes have 40+stops [as you know].
As regards the elderly and disabled as these passengers usually sit in the front seats the driver could wait for a few seconds.

I travel on buses quite a lot in Teesside North East of England and I've noticed all bus drivers wave at each other it doesn't matter which company the Bus is from but they do say we are more friendly up the North than down south lol probably because the mortgages and rent are cheaper lol and we are not stressed out as much as them down south lmfao

I think it"s quite annoying to hear the same message over and over again. In the end we don't listen anymore? What is effect? You and I can make 25 textual variations. Ask 100 colleagues and you have 2500 variations: Female, male, older, younger. Ask a famous artist to do the same: "This is Clint Eastwood speaking: Watch out: the bus is about to move!". Certainly I would listen.
They fixed the announcements.☺

I don't hear them as much when I'm in the drivers cab, as the plastic screen helps keep the sound out! But I can see why the passenger's are annoyed!
On the news they said that their is a glitch . They said that it will be fixed . It's really annoying but people should know that the bus will move and they should hold on but it's their anyway to remind them

It says the number of the bus and the rd next and then where final stop or move down bus use every seat or say buggy for safety does not say hold hold on bus is about to move I e ne er heard it I don't think so my mind's on it to know my stop

They do it in Singapore too...but it seems to have fallen out of use over time. My hunch is that someone might have sued TfL after a fall.

They've since made it sooner, but if it's a stop with one passenger in London, you can get stopped, pick them up and go before the end of the destination name! Maybe the '## to Destination' announcement should announce the moment that the doors are opened, with no delay to make it more effective? I don't know really!

I'm not a fan of these buses. It's just a bus, takes you from A to B. But a Routemaster or RT, RF now they were stylish, comfortable and a lot of fun. They were made to last. The better days of London Transport with their collaberation with AEC and Leyland produced a much nicer design.

This announcement is stupid!! It should be 'please hold on the bus is about to move' then 149 to Edmonton Green for example.
Seldom hear it these days, the Arriva bus on the 121 at Trent Park Golf Course could have used that announcement recently, I boarded the lower deck for Enfield Island Village, before I could sit down, the bus moved off so fast, before I sit down, or hold a handrail, lost my grip and almost fell on the floor, if it wasn’t for the kindness of passengers, why do bus operators employ car get-a-way drivers?, I got off the bus at the next stop, as the driver did not even know what he had done.
