"The Batte of Mactan"
Country: PHILIPPINES
In Celebration of the 500 years of the Victory of the Battle in Mactan.
The Battle of Mactan was a fierce clash fought in the Philippines on 27 April 1521. The warriors of Lapulapu, one of the Datus of Mactan, overpowered and defeated a Spanish force fighting for Rajah Humabon of Cebu under the command of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, who was killed in battle.
Special Thanks to:
The City of Lapu-Lapu - under the administration of Mayor Junard "AHONG" Chan. Mayor Chan plays a cameo role as one of the Leaders of Lapu-Lapu in the video, since we see him as the leader in the modern day who has a similar courage of that of Lapu-Lapu.

This is the video my teacher used for my school 👀 really cool 😎
thats very good to know. thanks, from what school?
@@historyanimated5132 Your video is extremely inaccurate. Most historians now believe that Rajah Humabon only converted to Christianity as a ploy to get the Spanish on his side because he wanted to annex the island of Mactan back to his control. Because Humabon later renounced Christianity and went back to the old ways. After the Spanish failed in the Battle of Mactan, Humabon invited all of the surviving Spaniard soldiers to a feast and poisoned them. Those who did not die that night sailed back to Spain. Humabon himself did not want to lose his authority. He wanted to maintain his autonomy and the freedom of his people.

Angay ra pud nato ipabilin ang pulong nga binisaya. Tan awa ra gyud ning mga batan on karun makaulit man paminawon mag storya kay gasagolan nag tinagalog ug ininglis pirme mas maayu pa mag linawum ta ug binisaya. Ipabilin ug preserba ang binisayang/sugbuanon nga pulong 🇵🇭
Dont chage the history nobody believe, because they knows by everybody that Lapu Lapu is killed Magellan by his own sword not by the poisones arrow by unknown warrior thats why they make a movie of Lito Lapid watch and they can see that Lapu Lapu Killed Magellan.
What bs your comment is
There is no written document that Lapu-Lapu personally killed Magellan...
Si marvin tong lapu lapu nya si kit si magellan, tikasaaannn
Wow. Just a few days difference and another video is up. Hardworking people 🙂 Good job guys. Keep it up.
Keep posting videos that are educational and informative. 👍👏👊
1:18 If you want to go straight to the video ;) Thank me later :*
It was not lapulapu who killed magellan , sampong baha was actually lapulapu's man ❤❤❤❤

can you do a animated video about panday pira?
A minor error, ...Magellan' s ships were not galleons, they were carracks
There's A LOT of historical inaccuracies with this animation. Most historians now believe that Rajah Humabon only converted to Christianity as a ploy to get the Spanish on his side because he wanted to annex the island of Mactan back to his control. Because Humabon later renounced Christianity. After the Spanish failed in the Battle of Mactan, Humabon invited all of the surviving Spaniard soldiers to a feast and poisoned them. Those who did not die that night sailed back to Spain.
we only follow what is rewritten in Antonio Pigafetta, no other written document of Lapu-Lapu and humabon. others are just folktales pass down to generations to generations.
I love lapu lapu
Appreciate the feedback....
excuse me did i see snow in your animation because there is no snow in philippines
lapu lapu he kill the enime is name is ??? magellan
Good job guys. Keep it up.
holy god this is accurate
Why the sound is for one punch man?
Thank you for doing my country
Yeah this is a battle
I'm a filipino
mactan is in phillipines also why did the enemy wears armor
Spanish colonizers are well advance during that time in terms of power and technology... the have guns and armor to protect them....
It's always Filipinos that give fellow Filipinos away.
I know right
Not really. Humabon only converted so he could use Magellan and his forces as a pawn to annex back Mactan island from Lapu-Lapu's control. Because after the battle, Humabon held a feast for the surviving Spaniard soldiers and straight up Red Wedding-ed the survivors. Those who didn't die from Humabon's poison sailed back to Spain.
nice, more video pa po
This is cool!
🤯🤯🎉
i really like it
History brought me here
This is so cool

yeaaaay. :)
OLD BUT GOLD!
wow
Thank you
Thank you for this animation! I love it!
Lapulapu an elite warrior who come from indonesia borneo sabah and later settled in the archipelago /this warrior who defended the aggression againts the spanish colonization/im modern times xhina agression.in the archipelago/again we are in need of an elite warriors from neihboring country to defend this archipelago
He literally was born in Mactan,Cebu
@@kinggoofy even if he was from borneo, it doesn’t matter because there were no ideas of nations as we know it in the area during that time.
Is there any battle in Philippine history that can be called heroic other than the cowardly massacre of Magellan?
what
And i Disliked ur "Can be called than the cowardly massacre of magellan"
This is inaccurate. Magellan actually died aboard the ship Victoria due to his injuries caused by the battle. This allowed him to pass on his will to the next captain.
we based our story to the notes of Antonio Pigafetta
There’s probably other accounts of the story
