All these years, I've stuck with the old DC Direct Superman that came with Doomsday and the Death of Superman reprint, but I'll give this Batman a look.
I bought the JLA set. Removed the figures. Stood them on my shelf. 5 minutes later I decided to bag them up individually. And now they are in my closet ready to be sold. I'll pickup the 7 inch wave coming out next year. The scale and articulation is more inline with that Crime Syndicate wave. Cool vid as always brah. (Formally Swoldier_bio)
haha thats why i didnt buy that 7 pack!! i knew i didnt want all those damn figs! I feel like as time is going on, the less and less toys or waves im getting b/c i just dont wanna spend money on figures i REALLY KNOW, i dont want or are just going to be recycled in a week or a month.. the new 7 inch line looks sweet, but dang 7 inches! but if you are already collecting then it will fit your collection. keep up the work outs bro!
@wyluncustoms I know this is an old video and you probably won't see this but I was wondering what figure is that wonderwoman head sculpt from? I've been searching for one that actually has a face that isn't ugly for lack of a better word and I really like that one and would love to use it to make some molds out of to use with different tiaras and hair sculpts for various releases and it would be a great help and time savor to me if you could tell me so I don't have to search through reviews from other people looking at the seemingly endless amount of wonderwoman figures out there. Whether or not you answer I want to say thanks for your reviews because you're one of the three people that do this that I actually follow, enjoy, and trust your judgement and share similar tastes with so you're a great resource for me(and countless others).
hey there! no problem. that specific wonder women figure in this video was sporting the DC Unlimited New 52 wonderwoman body, and the head was from the DC Collectibles Justice League WAR toy line (from the animated movie). Borderlining on the animated look but I still liked it alot. I hear you.. always a endless search for the perfect wonder woman.. To be honest I think my favorite right now is the most recent DC Multiverse Rebirth one that just came out. DECENT head sculpt, and def. has a nice body sculpt. I have this Batman and 2 of the 7" and I think they feel cheap or somthing. The joints seen really loose and dont rachetbor anything and the hip joints in the 7's are to tight at first causing stress marks to the ball joint.
Whilst I do not own the seven pack, the figures in the seven pack did not feature any accessories. By the way, the hands on BatMan are removable/interchangeable with other BatMan figures.
Great video and review. Superman is almost perfect but he's already wearing an outdated costume. Normally that stuff doesn't bother me except that his new costume is perfect! A perfect blend of classic and modern looks. Hopefully that costume will get the plastic treatment soon.
ya he changes costumes so many times, I dont even know what is new, current, or old.. but either way, i have been liking the different variants of his suit. Im was actually very happy when the the heroes lost the "underwear"... so anything after that is fine w/ me. lol. thanks for the comment and watching!
Michael Mulligan The upcoming DC Essentials 6.75” Superman will be based on his current (Superman Reborn?) costume but no telling if it will be the modern suit by the time it comes out
WylunCustoms is he the same as the old dcuc figures? I have an old dc superheroes superman that looks good but not as much articulation as what id like. Haven't found a better supes as of yet
I also reviewed this Batman on my channel and I am liking the sculpt as well...I will end up getting the new batman by Essentials next year. I have a feeling that line will top all previous lines..you can remove both of there hands by the way if you so choose.
WylunCustoms - I hear ya brother...but at 6.75" they shouldn't tower...I will pick and choose though cause I'm happy with most of my icons except for...flash, (loose legs) Wonder Woman (doesn't stand and pose well , small feet) and the height of Cyborg and Aquaman.
yaaaa, there are redhood figures out there but they are in the 7inch scale, which sucks. I think ICONS are done with now though and they are moving on to the essentials? I could be wrong. but maybe we might get one from the DC Multiverse line, which seems to be sticking around. they have been popping out random characters.

haha well if you wanna get TECHNICAL, yes, his only biological son is Damian wayne. IF YOU WANNA STILL GET TECHINCAL, then it is a fact though, he has two sons, Dick and Damian b/c he legally did adopt Dick. also it could be said dick and bruce are more of a father/son than damian would ever be b/c Bruce raised Dick, while bruce is "raising" damian now. But dick was bruces first son.
Batmans head sculpt sucks especially when you look at the one on the upcoming essentials rebirth batman and superman looks embarrassed. Maybe it's his rebirth suit. They should've kept the red boots and yellow belt to break up the design. At least the eyes aren't as crazy looking as the old icons superman.no accessories or even a set of flight pose hands for superman is another negative. At least they were only 20 bucks a piece on sale when I got them so they aren't as big of a disappointment as the mezco superman I just got in the mail. Anyone praising that figure is lying to themselves or to their viewers so they can get their scalper prices. I guess the mezco bvs superman with repainted headsculpts is going to have to be my superman for the time being.

I have these figures and it I did not like that there was no accessories but I love there new sculpts and sizes. Nice review!

Supermans head is too big, and batmans arms are too short.🤣

I think I perfer Mcfarlane toys better pluse they use mostly new sculpts for each figure were dc direct used the same body for all of the 7" scale.
I like both body molds but the face on Supes doesn't do it I think at all.
How do they scale against Marvel Legends??
