Great vidios, Great presenter. Clear and well-presented information. Everything is explained from the tools and the reason for using them. Repetitive sections are sped up to reduce watch time. There is no annoying and unnecessary music. Thank you and congratulations. I can't see how this could be improved!
After years of wondering how a down pipe is made I now know how - thanks to this instructional video. Thank you very much for passing on this knowledge, I'll head over to your website and check that out as well.
@@MetalRoofingOnline - Thanks Guys - I am not a roof plumber but have always liked the way in which metal can be cut and formed when cladding and draining a structure - you make it look easy but you explain your method well - as I am in South Australia it seems I can not buy anything from you - but I would like to know what brand of tin snips you are using and what you recommend - I have no budget limit on purchasing professional tools. Many Thanks again !!!
Hi there, I was just wondering if you use the same measurements i.e. 40 & 30 mm for the offset bend when using a larger down pipe of size 100 x 80 mm? Thanks
Very good and vital video. But it’s a pity you didn’t film it with a couple extra fixed cameras close to where you are doing the pen marks and cuts etc. You’ve filmed the crucial bits from too far away, and even hidden behind the pipe.
Thanks very much Darren. Quick question though. When I do my bends I don’t get a sharp crease in the down pipe on the fold. Is there a trick I’m missing? Thanks mate
Square a line across the grooved seam on the inside once you've cut the second bend. Lay the pipe flat with the seam on the bench and give the seam a short sharp wack on the line U drew with a hammer and old wood chisel/flat screwdriver
Hi Jarrod, The downpipes join together quite easily, they have a big end and a smaller end. You should be able to slide the top one into the bottom one
