The Yoshi Mod is so sick. It's as if the original game had the ability to ride them (something I wish I could have done since my childhood). I love the improvements you've made on the Yoshi as well since the first unveiling.

It's not very difficult to do, but it looks nice and uses some clever trickery. He once talked about it in a video or on a stream.
The effect is created by duplicating the shape of an object and making it slightly bigger than the original object and making it black.
Once you got that, the clever stuff comes:
In most games only the outside of objects is shown and calculated to make the game run better, this is called backface culling.
This means that if I had a 3D cube, you would be able to see it fine from the outside, but not if you were inside of it. You would see straight through it.
Kaze used this to his advantage by inverting the effect on the duplicate objects, causing the objects to be invisible except for the black line on the edge, which is the inside.

I suppose since it's something Yoshi can do soon afterwords (yet weirdly before SMW), and because it's so embedded in many players' minds, it would be a good addition.

Really surprised Nintendo doesn't give a chance to fans and individual developers that make RomHacks or Fangames like Sega does with Headcanon and Christian Whitehead...

It greatly depends which IP it is. Pokemon only cares about Fangames if they have a Title on the release because "it would impact sales". Most Nintendo IPs like Mario and Zelda are only Cease and desist when they want to and it shows their blaitant hypocracy when the app store has tons of bootlegs of their IP.nthe only Nintendo IP they seems to not care about at all in this regard is Fire Emblem and this is most likely because the series was not known at all at first.
To be fair to nintendo, they are a much bigger company than sega. Sega doesn’t have much to lose by allowing fangames. It’s actually become a staple of the sonic community, and there are some REALLY good sonic fan games. Nintendo fan games aren’t usually as good to be honest. The only great Nintendo fan game that comes to my mind is AM2R. Nintendo prides itself in its quality in gamemaking and lack of glitchy products, so the last thing they would want are a bunch of glitchy fan games using their IPs. Sega released sonic 06 and boom so they really don’t give a fuck about having glitchy broken games under their IP.
@@CapsUnlocked you guys have a point but I think the best option would be the best Game designers (still in RomHacks and Fangames) For example, those that are able to make a fitting story OR those who make some new gimmicks and stuff fit perfectly in a game, I know there are a lot of Shitty hacks but I think there's a good spot, the Good hacks spot.
Cadence of Hyrule means they might be willing to lend their IP out a little more.

@@NinjarioPicmin When two plains (typically horizontal, hence the Z) or portion of plains exist exactly at the same height both surfaces' texture jitter and appear to intertwine because the rendering engine gets confused as to what to display on "top"

Such an amazing ROM. Yoshi looks awesome and you dropped him into the void like the actual game. Also you are good at platforming in this game.
The graphics and music are really good on their own yet the level design itself looks fun, faithful to SMW and challenging. I hope people that like your stuff and can afford to donate do it (unfortunately I can't) because this is the kind of game related things that deserve constant support since you are constantly delivering 10/10 content for an already awesome game
