Brand New 2020 & 2021 Kone MiniSpace Lifts In The Clayton Hotel Manchester (City Centre)

- Now that all of the airport videos are out now we move on to the city centre.
This place only opened in January so it’s a brand new hotel however the lifts aren’t brand new. 2 are from 2020 and one is from 2021. It was meant to open last year but couldn’t open ‘til this year due to the circumstances back then.
The lifts here are quite nice. For a 2020/21 installation you’d expect to have the normal scrolling arrow or the new cursed arrow but they’ve went for the triangle arrow which is very nice. The one on the left has the loudest motor but doesn’t do advanced door opening and the rest have advanced door opening. All 3 lifts go 2.5 (maybe 3) m/s. However they accelerate slow. It takes 4-5 floors to get to full speed roughly.
I filmed around 35-40 lifts in Manchester City centre. I have videos going up from Piccadilly next after that hopefully I’ll get some Arndale up.

This lifts can be glitchy sometimes. If you remember I did lose the video of these lifts but I stayed here and can tell you these are epic! They are ultra fast and make your ears pop quick! :)
They really are, and such a decent speed too. Overall epic in my opinion

I’m still confused on whether it’s mono or mini. They are MRLs but can they still be MiniSpaces?
@@northernirishlifts They are MonoSpaces if they are MRL, MiniSpaces cannot be MRL.
@@finnishelevators0397 i used to think that, but now I think there is such thing as a MiniSpace MRL and a MonoSpace MR but they are quite uncommon. Monospaces can have MRs but only for low rise applications. it’s hard to explain but that’s just my theory from what I’ve heard in the past.
@@northernirishlifts Okay, do these have machine closets somewhere? If they do, they are MRL.
Surprised there is a 13th Floor Due To Superstions
Especially this being a new building I was surprised. Some places don’t bother and just go from 12-14
@@northernirishlifts Yeah I think it gets more customers, If you have a really nice hotel someone books at the front desk then cancels it because they're put on floor 13 you loose bussines.
