A humanist, a person of great love for humanity and nature and the earth who exemplified what is best about us with honesty and beauty. A beautiful human being!
So much passion on that song of how we need to care for each other. Saw him in concert in Spokane Washington in July 1995. Best ever. Gone too soon, John.❤❤
Another beautiful song from JD, who's message is more timely right Now than ever before. Though John is gone (physically), his music still shines like a beacon for all of those willing to listen.
I was at Windstar when he sang this...he was the music for the first half of my life....and so much of it relevant to this half of my life, too. I miss you John Denver!!!
Over 30 years later I hear this Song for the first time. It should be broadcast On the Airwaves for all to hear. It's About time to turn out world around... We need more people who think and act like John Denver.💞
As one of my favorite entertainers, I may have a ton of predudice, but I find John Denver's songs to be as much a sermon to live by and as a teaching about the wonders of Nature. His understanding and extreme connection to the spirit of Nature comes through his music and if we truly LISTEN, that feeling is transferred to our souls.
Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful! John Denver is the best singer songwriter who has ever lived .......at least the one with the greatest message and spirit! Absolutely beautiful ~
I so want to thank you for posting this. I saw JD live in 1986 when he was touring with just his roadies and his guitars. This song was the last one on his just released album and I already loved it but he sang it that night with such urgency and feeling and with just a little bit of justified anger on that last “and it’s about time!” I have listened to several live recordings released during his lifetime and after but none of them had the same feel of that concert performance I heard in 1986. They all ended the song a little flat. Well, this one does have that same soaring call to action! Thank you so much for finding and posting it. It’s a gem. Truly “very rare.”
❤️. Nothing can ever compare to John’s Music 🎶🎶🎶 Brings such beautiful, peace , love. There’s something about his music...it’s REAL...... Today 10/12/1997 😓 R.I.P I cried like no tomorrow. His music will ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART ❤️ ! ,
Since being a fan since 74, and thankfully having seen him live in concert many times, I have missed him so much and each time I hear him it hits me again that he’s gone. He touched so many of our hearts, and continues to do so. Rest in Peace John.
John wrote the most beautiful and touching song's, love his music, miss him so much he left the same year I lost my husband they were both so young.miss you JD
The first time i heard this song when it was released.....i cried. John found the best words to say what we need. He was so emotional en true. He really was and is my brother for life. I'm sixty now and right now i see the truth in his words. It's about time...
There aren't any famous singer/songwriter out there that can even come close to John's voice and the songs he sangs. He sang from the heart because he cared for either what he was about, or he sang about what was happening in his life. He put so much in to his music. He believe in all that he was involved in. Oh, how we need him here now. JD, we miss you so We were blessed to have you for 53 years, but it was not long enough. Sing with the angels my friend.
WOW what a gift this is!! Not only a great version of this great song, but I've never heard him tell this story before. So what a treat to hear a new story...much as I love the ones he "occasionally" repeated, a new one is a such a rare joy. How I miss this man and his music...but I remain grateful for what he left us with!!
I find it truly tragic that now in 2014, this song (like so many of John Denver's songs) is still so, so relevant and so, many, many people seem to not hear the very simple message of peace. Peace my friends, let it start with each of us.
This JD video embodies the type of entertainer and person he was. If you saw him in concert you would under stand. His story telling, song writing, singing and guitar were all equally captivating. There was really never anyone that he compared to. He was a great soul, a dreamer and what a human being really should be like.
One of my favorite John Denver songs. It speaks of being our brother's and sister's keeper, and our responsibility to care for the home God gave us: this precious Earth. Listen to this and hear the passion this late artist had for all living things.
“There a full Moon over India,.. who’s to say you have to lose for someone else to win,.. it’s about time that we realize that we’re all in this together,.. it’s about time we turn the world around, - it’s about time we face the earth is our only home.. it’s about time to realize we can’t make it on our own, it’s about time we listen to the voices in the wind.. it’s about time, it’s about changes, it’s about time,.. there is a man that is my brother, I just don’t know his name, and it hurts me when he is hungry, and when his children cry,.. it’s about Peace, it’s about plenty, it’s about time, it’s about you and me together and it’s about time.. “ - bits and pieces … and skipped around 🙃💚💛🧡🥰
I have loved John Denvers music ever since I was 6 years old. I still love it when times are difficult it along with God comes to me. God Bless John I know he is home.
Bravo Terry,: all should hear this message. John did all he could to get the word out so we all need to help our brothers and sisters. We can change the world..
you'll be glad to hear that his soul lives on ! as i just heard from Amanda Ellis who channeled him on his demand this week !! And he is still broadcasting the same heart vibes , now with some added urgent call to it .l hope you'll find this message somehow💜
LUCETTE RYDER ♥️🎁♥️ Hi Lucette - i just left the same message over on another John Denver site!!! Fancy meeting you here♥️🙏♥️Yes, checking more music of John’s - reading loving messages too! Talked about Amanda Ellis at “Angelic Celestial Colours” (england). HAPPY MOTHERS DAY5-10-20♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️
I think John was always at his best when he sang at the Windstar symposiums. It is wonderful to relive those special times. Thank you so much for sharing this.
The message of this song is timeless... we need to hear it now, more than ever. Every mind that can be changed, every heart that can be turned to the desire for peace, harmony, balance, compassion and love, is a step in the right direction and a new hope for our currently precarious future. Please share this video, and nurture John's beautiful seed of compassion so it may grow and blossom into "the flower that shattered the stone". Thank you so much for posting this masterpiece of truth.
A great song John Denver has a powerful beautiful voice that touches everyone's heart one of the greatest song writer in country music n a great guitar player I miss him he was taken from us way too soon I love you John Denver RIP 😎🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸😥🌹🌹❤️❤️🏋️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸🎸🌹
I love what he says at the beginning. I think its so important that we recognise and acknowledge the changes that ARE happening. A lot of people see these calls to action as unrealistic ideals/dreams and so rather than stepping up to take responsibility to do their bit (whatever that may be) they fall into despair and helplessness. Or they hide behind cynicism or a distorted perception of science, trying to hide their fear and ignorance behind what they mistakenly believe is an appearance of superiority. The true scientific mind is an open mind - responsive to evidence. As Leonard Cohen says "the signs are there for all to see." I hope this song moves more people to begin to take action, remembering that the smallest act does count (putting your "soul power to the cosmic wheel" John L. :) ) and the best place to begin the change is inside yourself. Peace. X
I think we are beginning to remember the power behind John Denver's songs. It is God. God's plan of wrath for mankind might be coming to our earth, and if not, let's do what John Denver sings. It's about time! 💓🐑
Bless you John for this song. Each of us can let John's song live within our hearts and action. We say we love John's music and message, but are we willing to act?
In the late 1960's I thought he was so phony, and his voice was too nasal. But his voice changed entirely, becoming powerful and resonant and full, and his stage persona mellowed into a sincere person who wasn't faking it to be famous. His songs were always unforgettable.
John saw life like I think I do the poor are our responsibility. If not why are we here ? I helped build a playground last summer they had a D J and he played Johns songs during the building. W hat a tribute to such a humanitarian. God Bless
Ilove this song thanks for great video johndenver is great rip john its about time we all get along its about peace its about plenty its about time love u all takecare

A humanist, a person of great love for humanity and nature and the earth who exemplified what is best about us with honesty and beauty. A beautiful human being!
31st March 2023 here and still listening ❤😂
So much passion on that song of how we need to care for each other. Saw him in concert in Spokane Washington in July 1995. Best ever. Gone too soon, John.❤❤
I love the man and the music. We made a pilgrimage to Aspen and the park in his honor with his lyrics carved on boulders.
This song pertains to us in today's mixed up world. People should hear the words they speak even today.
Another beautiful song from JD, who's message is more timely right Now than ever before. Though John is gone (physically), his music still shines like a beacon for all of those willing to listen.
Well said!!😊
I was at Windstar when he sang this...he was the music for the first half of my life....and so much of it relevant to this half of my life, too. I miss you John Denver!!!
He will never be forgotten....he lives on, with his music...!
Just too good! I've never gotten over his passing. Played golf with him the weekend before he died... Very grateful for his ongoing presence.
Beautiful memory !
We need somebody with his love and wisdom to pull us all together again.❤
Almost three decades later and here we are in 2020 still saying that it's about time for changes.
John was one of the nicest, most decent human beings to walk the earth. His songs often reflect that. John Denver...taken too soon.
Yes! 😢
Over 30 years later I hear this Song for the first time. It should be broadcast On the Airwaves for all to hear. It's About time to turn out world around...

None of his words are wasted. Each touches our hearts n life..we must wake up n listen. This song says that..
So many beautiful songs delivered with heart and conviction. Sometimes I Feel Like a Sad Song - like I'm all alone without you, without youuuuuu!!!

It's about time we ALL feel this kind of passion for each other and our Earth.

April 22, 2020
In the eyes of all the people the look is mainly the same
It's about time we see the changes in the weather
Voice cries in the wilderness (the fires raging in California and Montana... His favorite place to be)
There's a man who's my brother.. I just know we feel the same over one
Still... April 16, 2021

It's 2020 and this song seems to resonate with me. I grew up listening to John Denver and many of his songs still bring a smile or a tear.
This song makes me cry out to humanity in help so we can all just love one another and get along.❤
Standing ovations to this song and JD.

My 2nd concert was John Denver. I went with my daddy when I was 8/9 years old. I fell asleep half way but I had such wonderful dreams.
It seemed like he was choking up. It was very heart-felt and passionate. Thanks for posting!
