    gratz on the card, I was considering this card as it's just under the limits with my current hardware, I'm going to hold off until I upgrade my platform which is currently Ryzen 3600 MSI 450 with an RX 6600, going previous gen but with a 5600x with a 650 motherboard and a RX 6800

    Hello. Fellow content creator here. I have an RX6700XT in one system and it’s great BUT an RX7900XT in another and it’s 2.1x as fast at the tasks I give it.

    • @GeekoutdoorsBrand

      Yup the 7900XT should be faster as it's more powerful and expensive.

    Having a good powerful gpu for some older games means it stays a lot cooler. where older gpu will scream like a turbine newer ones does not heat up much.i was playing outer worlds 1080p high 70fps, my sapphire 6700xt does not go beyond 52c so fan does not turn on as my base fan curve is set to 55c case fan alone keeps the temp down as i have a side fan that blows towards gpu and psu top fan, i am impressed by the performance where my rx 580 used to run at 60c with dumping heat to my room. and this stays cool.

    • @GeekoutdoorsBrand
      @GeekoutdoorsBrand  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yup for sure especially for the reasons you mentioned or if you're running more demanding emulation like Saturn, PS2-3, and more modern systems.

    I have that exact same brand make and model graphics card in my system right now. I bought mine back in February earlier this year and paid effectively $305 for it at Best Buy after recently selling off an old computer I wasn't using anymore to a friend for a $100 and applied that to my new card purchase.
    Thing is a beast! Every ga.e I've got I can play on ultra settings and max out my monitor which is an Acer LED 1920x1080p 75Hz display.

    • @GeekoutdoorsBrand
      @GeekoutdoorsBrand  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup this thing is a BEAST! especially for the price. Good to hear other owners have had good experiences and I've seen the same general thoughts from many videos for performance for price.

      @@GeekoutdoorsBrand AMD needs to cut the crap and go all out with a massive overhaul and refresh of the RX series.
      RDNA 4 architecture, 12 gigabytes of VRAM at the minimum and prices need to come back down to Earth because right now, the current gen products have prices that are way too high for the performance and features you're getting.
      My suggested specs and pricing for RDNA 4 8000 series cards:
      RX 8600 $149 Specs: 24 Compute Units 72 ROPs, 48 Ray Tracing Cores, 144 Texture Mapping Units, 2,304 Unified Shader Engines and 12GB GDDR6 VRAM on 192bit bus.
      RX 8700 $299 Specs: 36 Compute units, 108 ROPs, 72 Ray Tracing Cores, 216 Texture Mapping Units, 3,456 Unified Shader Engines and 16 gigabytes GDDR6 VRAM on a 256bit bus.
      RX 8800 $499 Specs: 60 Compute Units, 180 ROPs, 120 Ray Tracing Cores, 360 Texture Mapping Units, 5,760 Unified Shader Engines and 24GB GDDR6 on a 384bit bus.
      RX 8900 $699 Specs: 84 Compute Units, 252 ROPs, 168 Ray Tracing Cores, 504 Texture Mapping Units, 8,064 Unified Shader Engines and 32GB GDDR6X VRAM on a 512bit bus.
      Example step ups:
      RX 8650 $199 Specs: 30 Compute Units, 90 ROPs, 60 Ray Tracing Cores, 180 Texture Mapping Units, 2,880 Unified Shader Engines and 12GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 192bit bus.
      RX 8750 $369 Specs: 42 Compute Units, 126 ROPs, 84 Ray Tracing Cores, 252 Texture Mapping Units, 4,032 Unified Shader Engines and 16GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 256bit bus.
      RX 8850 $579 Specs: 72 Compute Units, 216 ROPs, 144 Ray Tracing Cores, 432 Texture Mapping Units, 6,912 Unified Shader Engines and 24GB GDDR6X VRAM on a 384bit bus.
      RX 8950 $779 Specs: 96 Compute Units, 288 ROPs, 192 Ray Tracing Cores, 576 Texture Mapping Units, 9,216 Unified Shader Engines and 32GB GDDR6X VRAM on a 512bit bus.
      Cards with "70" in their model number such as a RX 8770 would feature higher factory clocks and an additional 4GB increase in VRAM with a $40 - $50 price premium for such cards.
      Also, I'd drop the "XT" suffix because of just too many "X's". Gets way too confusing.

    I got myself back in April a GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6700XT.
    I did build a new gaming PC back in early 2020 and because I knowed new cards will be released later that year, I went for an MSI Radeon 570 OC 8GB. But then all the prices exploded and I stuck with it for 3 years. I got the GigaByte for a good price so went for it.
    To be honest, so far I haven't found any game what bottlenecks.
    I play mostly racing sim and fps and everything i can turn on full 3440x1440 HDR400 and everything maxed out and the I'm getting between 50 to 200fps - depending on the game.

      I bought 6700XT in 2021. I still play some new games in 4K or 1800p. It’s decent 1440p. I wanted ever 6800XT bite price to performance was very bad in 2021. I’m considering getting 7900XT but it’s just not worth as 6700XT drives everything I play now I settings that meet my needs. Definitely great buy.

    A few months ago I upgraded from a 1050 ti to a 6700 xt. I chose this the 6700 xt because I saw many reviewers recommend this card.
    The graphics are amazing. Fps is amazing. Temperatures are amazing. The quiet fans are amazing. I love the amd control panel.
    BUT, This is why I would NOT recommend my video card. I have a sound issue since day one. The sound in games will cut off and on 30 to 50 times a minute when it's bad and only up to 15 to 30 times a minute when it's better. Sometimes it will happen several times while just watching a video other times it won't. I searched the problem and found it to be kind of wide spread. If a youtuber doesn't experience an issue with a part then they are oblivious and proceed to recommend it. They never research possible problems with a part before recommending it. This is why you shouldn't take recommendations from a small collection of "reputable" reviewers. The sound issue is widespread and has been around since before the 6000 series. It is not all models and not all 6700 xt, but it is spread over multiple brands. Since this is a widespread and long lived issue AMD has been well aware of it yet has not fixed it. I also believe that AMD will never fix it because they either can't or won't. I believe this because the problem is not listed anywhere on their website as a known issue and it is no where to be found in their support or forums yet I've posts everywhere else on the internet about it.
    I've tried every potential "fix" that have worked for others I could find on the internet and there are many. I am not a pc novice. I am very comfortable with using ddu and installing drivers properly. With the internet disconnected to prevent Windows from downloading more drivers, I've clean out all brands of audio and video drivers from my system and disabled the other devices in the device manager as well. I've tried other reported fixes such as resolution changes, overclocking and underclocking the card, changing sample rates and bit depths and exclusive control settings, changed to better hdmi cables, some registry tweaks, tested power supply, tested pc ram, etc. etc. etc. Sometimes the fixes seem to improve the problem for a while but not for long. Someone asked why I don't just connect the pc built in audio and forget about it. Sure, I did. I had to do it because the sound issue is like like chinese water torture. I bought new ten foot audio cables and connected them. But why should I have to do that and why should I have to forget about it? I had absolutely zero sound issues with my little old 1050 ti. It just worked. It even still worked pretty darn good when I was too lazy from time to time to clean install new drivers. I don't want to have to pay Nvidia hundreds more dollars for the same performance. Oddly everyone seems to agree that the cards themselves are not defective. I don't know if the issue is compression, codecs, acceleration, conflict with windows, conflict with other hardware, or something else. If someone has a fix for this issue I please respond. I was set to become an AMD fan boy too, but at this time I cannot recommend AMD to anyone.

      Hopefully I don't run into similar issues as I've had my previous AMD 470 GPU since 2016 and still works great 😃

      You might want to troubleshoot that sound issue, I've had my rx 6700xt for a weeks time now and not had any sound issues at all
