    NOTE: at 01:57 I say hold down rx button , as you can see on my video it was the tx button at that point! Typo error.
    Also, I use a old 25w Antex XS25 but smaller might be better. I've been soldering for years but still find these a little bit tricky. Make sure you put the pins through the way I show , if you solder the other side there's more chance of damaging some very small components, and it will destroy it!

    These are fantastic little receivers. I particularly like their wide voltage range. I even use one on my micro paramotor running on 1s.

      As you say, you can even run them with a 1s which I find very useful for small lightweight stuff.

    Very small parts. I am now trying to learn how to do soldering. This is so small that I am sure it can be very useful in many projects. Thank you for sharing!

    Your old mitts are getting nearly as shaky as mine Old Fellah! 😱
    Oh and I can see why the Poms had to give up The Empire. Get pairs of all your battery connector types and a solid toggle switch to make up an octopus - beats trying to do the Monkey-in-a-Zoo scrabble when trying to hold buttons and plug in power. Handy for when you can't just find an adapter to match a charged battery to the newly arrived ESC too! 😜 😉😊

      Tell me about it! Some days are worse than others. I used to think it was the demon drink, but I don't reckon so, just old age. I won't say what age this year but there was tv series in 1958. XX Sunset Strip. Probably even before your time matey. 😢.
      The toggle switch idea for binding is a good one, though I usually find a way to plug in and turn on. Or is it. Tune in, turn on, drop out. Is that before your time? Timothy Leary.🤔. Happy new year. We've had a lot of floods. Not been good here. 😠

      @@bobflyman Yep, I see things are looking a bit grim over there in places. Plenty of rain here also from the recent Cyclone but there are some advantages in having the old hacienda this high up in the hills. Don't have to worry till you see Giraffe heads sticking out of the boat portholes! 🙄😜😊

    It may be a silly question but here goes anyway. When the pins are fully inserted surely they are already making a good electrical contact? Why not therefore put dabs of cyano (non-conducting) to hold them in place rather than soldering with the risk of bridging/damage to components?

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nice idea, but I very much doubt without solder bridging the pin to the board that there would be a reliable connection. On any circuit board pins/wires are poked through but they always need soldering.

    What size motor can it handle? How is the motor speed controlled also PWM?

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To the best of my knowledge there is no limit on motor size in relation to receivers. They do not have amp ratings, the ESC connected to the motor has an amp rating. The receiver just sends the signal to the ESC to control motor speed. Don't know the Pulse Width Modulation is, I've never thought about it in my years of RC plane flying.

    Hi, my receiver just slow flashes, I can't get a to to fast blink even when pressing the bind button, any idea what I'm doing wrong or have I just got a dodgy rx
