I am a California girl and have never lived anywhere other than the Bay Area, but after watching you guys on Peter S channel I love all of your content. ❤
Thank you for coming along!
Good job! Love the show... “Laissez les bon temps rouler”!
Thanks to Peter S. for his visit with you and Tara I now watch y’all’s channel. We live in Baton Rouge. Great show!
Awesome! Thank you for coming along neighbor! 🐊
Thank you Tara for the demonstration. You taught me how to peel a crab, so much easier.
You're welcome! I think it's so easy, but Keith always has issues. 🤣 -Tara
Tara made it look too easy 👍👍they look yummy though 🦀🦀
She is very good at peeling crabs. I can't hang with her. Thank you!🦀
FIVE STAR!!!from Texas
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed! Thanks my brotha from Texas! 🦀
My new go to, to escape this world takes me back to my younger days!!! Have a great one brother!!!! Keep them coming!!!
Really appreciate that! Take care buddy!🦀
I have seen folks peel crabs many different ways, but your way looks pretty easy!
I think so! Tara
Dat's awesome! Fast and furious. Your podna took some great pictures too.
Thank you! I'm gonna get him out there again to do more still photos. 🦀
Hey Dat L. FAM; I haven't seen you in a while! How easy was that? WOO-HOO! 🦀😋 everywhere, & Quickly! Thank You Terra for the Demonstration for preparation for cleaning out the Nummies! 😮😀, never seen it done that way! Ya's Getyin better with the Cook up Part! I Know that it's a Lot of work! 😉😎👍✌❤🙂
They don't always bite that good. Makes for a short trip when you catch them that fast. Tara peels crabs so much faster than me but she can't hang with me when it comes to crawfish. Hopefully we will have some crawfish videos soon. It does take a good bit of time to do the catch and cooks but we really enjoy doing it. Sometimes it doesn't always work out that way. Thanks for the great comments. 🦀🦀🦀
DAMN......what a score. You need a BIGGER cooler. Which also logically means you need a bigger BOAT. So you can catch more........
Seriously good eats....I do miss the amazing food in the south. Y'all damn sure put a meal on the table
We are blessed to be able to go catch fresh seafood like that so close to home. My boat and cooler are plenty big enough. Once the cooler is full, it's time to go. 🤣 Thanks buddy!🦀
Your definitely living the dream.
The drone footage of the pelicans was magical. We have them more and more here on the river we live on right off the Chesapeake Bay( eastern VA). Love to watch them glide and fish at dusk . Your videos are so entertaining, and your mixing of regular video, plus under water, drone……so fun and beautiful. Glad I found Dat Louisiana Life. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much! ❤️
Great crab eating and getting at the meat instruction, thanks Tara. From the USVI.
Tara is much better at peeling crabs than me for sure
Wished you'd take your whole crew and catch as many as possible all day, then have a crab cookout for friends and family. Maybe have someone play the guitar and sing for everyone 🤔
I was born and raised in La. Havent been there in 40 years. Y'all make me want to move back!
Man I love the way y’all play. Lol
We some big kids! 🤣
I love the fact is a family thing
Nice hunting. Thanks for sharing
Holy moly!
beautiful drone pics. thanks a bunch
Thank you!🦀
OMG You guys are so blessed to live in that area. I can only dream of being there. Being on the water eating great fresh food, And most of all no Snow! 🙃. Where I live we already got nearly a foot of snow.
It's time for a journey down South?
Yuck!!!
It is amazing that we have all this amazing seafood within arms reach. You can keep the snow. I'm fine with hot summers and mild winters. Thank you!🦀
They make it look easy. And truth be told. It is easy when your with your loved ones. But it Is a lot of work behind the scenes.
The water is calm, placid with birds landing and taking-off, but most importantly no sight of another deer crossing. Dulac is indeed gorgeous. ...That whole piece of chicken is gonna last the crab and Co. a whole week.
It's was awesome to be able to get some good footage of those pelicans. That made my day! Catching a few crabs helped too. No deer sightings this time. I'll probably never see another one swimming across the canal like that. Take care buddy! 🐯
WOW!!!!
Love it 😅😅😅😅😅
That was epic! You on them, you're really on them! Boy, I bet ya Tara not happy she had to work! Again, awesome!
We definitely had a good trip. Tara gonna get her turn. I guarantee! Thanks buddy!🦀🦀🦀
Dulac, where Dey Dulac Dis, and Dulac Dat! Awesome video!
Thank you! 🦀
Nice to see my co-workers having a great outing. The crabs were hitting hard. I never seen anything like it before.
Tara really knows how to peel crabs. I never knew there was such a thing as a crab knife. Awesome footage as always👍🏽
Thanks buddy! Maybe we can all take off next time and go🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful video!!!!!!
Those crab sure look good ! Lot of work to eat them ... believe I would starve just trying to get fed off a batch, but they so good it makes it worthwhile. Y'all sure did pick the right spot today. Be interesting to drop a go-pro down to the bottom and see how many are down there. Like you said, they must be covering the bottom. Louisiana is the Sportsman's Paradise, no doubt.
I do way better at peeling crawfish. I love eating crabs but I'm not great at peeling them. I might have to try out the go pro on the bottom out there. The water is a little murky but it would be cool to see what it looks like. Thanks buddy!🦀
Holy crap that's a crap load of crab!! Amazing brother!! Tara be eatin GOOD!! Love the drone footage!! Excellent video!! 👍👍
They definitely don't always bite that good but it's nice to be out there when they do. Appreciate that buddy! 🦀
My good friends!!! So excited to see your video!!!
Linda from Missouri 👍😊♥️🥰
Thank you Linda! ❤️
Awesome drone footage
Thank you!🦀
Been out in the deer blind most of the day then had a crawfish dinner. This was one awesome video love the drone footage and still footage. And what about them crabs my wife’s mouth was watering. Thanks again for another awesome video
I agree! Great Video and Pics! 👍🏼🏁
The drone footage definitely gives a different perspective to the area. Thanks buddy! Appreciate the positive feedback. 🦀🦀🦀
@@datlouisianalife you’re on your to becoming the best channel out there if not already
@@chrisavalon6198 You obviously have way more confidence in my skills than I do. I really appreciate that. The biggest problem I have is working a full time job. 🍻
@@datlouisianalife yep the full time job does interfere with the lifestyle we love and it sucks
I'm so glad yall got all them crabs. Happy eating. Love Dat Louisiana Life 😊
Thank you! We love you too! 🦀
Good opening for the Pelican state...:-).....Great crabbing day!
Thank you! 🦀
Great video.Tara just made my day when when she said she'd normally drink that juice ! My favorite time of year to eat crabs is late July,August and first part of September when they're full of fat.
Normally she would be slurping the juice up but she held back🤣. There were some full ones along with some light ones but either way, they still yummy. Thank you! 🦀🦀🦀
This is my favorite channel! You show the true cajun life. My best to you and your family! Lateta!
We really appreciate that! 🦀
Sweet! ♥
Thank you for showing us how to peel crab because I’ve never seen it done or had it
Being from Louisiana, I have eaten boiled crabs many times, never using Taras method exactly, but her method is a great method to get the lump meat out. In my early boiled crab eating days, I mostly loved the claw meat, but began with my own method to get out the lump meat. You guys picked a great day to crab. Congrats on all the crabs you harvested. Loved you video, and every time I watch your YT videos I learn something new. I know we here in the deep south have a variety of seafood that other states can only dream about. The Lord has blessed us with so many different delicious varieties of food, all cooked in different ways, but we here take them all for granted! Thanks for the great video, Be Safe, and God Bless!
Tara does so much better than me when it comes to peeling crabs. I usually butcher the crap out of them🤣. Thanks for sharing with us. We really appreciate it! 🦀🦀🦀
Great video!!
That’s a real good day real fast! 🦀
Way to go now there is gonna be 2 of you guys with attendance problems..it's been frosty here last few mornings, , been real nice in early afternoon, we did cat h a couple of real nice, large mouth bass.
..
I'm always trying to get someone to skip work with me. 🤣
Can you make a video of y’all enjoying the whole meal watch people cook them all the time but we don’t get to see y’all enjoy them that would be nice to
In CA and HI we "shake" crab, but Tara's way is much easier!
We melt butter, add fresh garlic, green onion and grated ginger.....its our crab sauce!!
What a great day. You always make me hungry 😊
Thanks buddy!🦀🦀🦀
Tara gonna be HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY Nice crabs
She loves eating crabs. I rather crawfish but I'll take fresh seafood any day. 🦀🦀🦀
second time watching this video trying to learn how to catch crabs like you lol
Huge score right there. Great shots of the pelicans too!
Thanks you! 🦀
Thanks Tara, gonna catch some in S Texas and use your technique. Gotta get me one of those cool Crab knifes.
Thank y’all for the effort and video.
Thank you! 🦀
Love the show and videos keep it up thanks
Thanks buddy! 🦀
This is unbelievable!
My wife loves crabs. I find them more work with little reward.
I rather crawfish! Tara does way better than me with the crabs.
Y’all should start selling Dat Carb Knife
I'd rather come out here in a hurricane then go to work. Lol😂
Awesome video
Thank you! 🦀
Awesome video man
I hope you don't get bored with us! 🦀
@@datlouisianalife dude my family grew up doing this just different area
🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀😊
Seeing the crabs on this video and the crawfish and fried fish in other videos. Makes me think back to my trip through Louisiana a few years ago. Miss all that good food that I had. Gotta make it back to Louisiana soon.
Come on back! We will save you some crabs🤣 We definitely eat good in the South. 🍻🦀
@@datlouisianalife I’m in the South too. But I must say. The food In Louisiana is so good! When I do come back. I will be stocking up on things I can’t buy in NC.
My mouth is watering right now, thats what im talking about that was amazing and the pics and video was awesome thank you so much for sharing love you guys videos
We love you back! Always great reading your comments! 🦀
Hollly Molllie !!!! LOL!! That’s called the mother load. I never seen that many caught so quick with crab nets! Such a good time for your friend first time crabbing! That water isn’t brackish must be really salty with all those females I noticed. Had my mouth watering at the end when Tara was picking them. What a catch and feast buddy!!
My friend was losing faith in me at first before we moved to another area. I couldn't go down like that🤣🤣🤣. That area is always produces something good. Tara peels crabs way better than me. Thanks buddy! Be safe out there!🦀🦀🦀
What a catch!! I know Tara was happy y’all take it easy catch next time👍✌️🛥🎣
Thanks buddy! She sure was happy! See y'all soon. Gonna be at the camp a good bit for the Holidays. 🦀🦀🦀
Great video. Y’all slayed the crab! Really appreciate the picking tips from Tara!
Thanks! I'm not a pro by any means, but I can run circles around Keith picking crabs! 🤣🤣 -Tara
I’m over in Lake Charles and about to boil some. Love all that juice and fat, me. We would be having crawfish this time of year, but they’re so expensive now.
I'm going crawfishing tomorrow. Not expecting a whole lot but it will still be a good time.
Try shocking in ice after boilin then the juice will go in them much faster and better taste but I know u have ur own way that's just my way I've been binge watching u guys for a few days now
Great video! I am from south LA and live in east texas now. It's awesome to watch videos of the things I grew up doing. Thanks for taking the time to post these. I would like to know where you got the crab knife if you remember. I have one that I inherited from my mother and would like to find a few more. Thanks. Keep them coming.
So glad you are enjoying our videos! We enjoy sharing our adventures! We got the crab knife from Aucoin's Hardware in Morgan City, LA. But also found it on Amazon. amzn.to/40A8SAd.
You took your boy from work and put him to work ha ha. Just found your channel. You’re the man subscribed.
Sure did🤣🤣🤣! Thank you! 🦀
Just back from our camp and get to watch another GREAT VIDEO!! Brian’s pics are great! He’s a great deckhand! He must not like to eat crabs? Tara learned me a new way to peel crabs! Drake going to be some kinda jealous y’all did so well. Stay safe out there! 👍🏼🏁🍻
I'm trying to get my buddy to come out in the boat with me more often so he can do more photos. I think he's warming up to it. He normally just does sports and school events. Drake gonna get his turn, I guarantee. Appreciate you buddy!🦀 How is the drone treating you? You should be a pro with it by now!
How many pounds of potatoes, corn and sausage did you add to that pot? LOL.
Hahahahaha!

Hey buddy! When we catch good like that we always share with the family. I sent a few care packages over to my mom and uncle 🤣. 🦀🦀🦀Thanks buddy!

It's always a blast being out there catching crabs in those nets. We don't normally catch them that quick. Keep up the great work with the tagging program. Always great hearing from you! 🎣🎣🎣
Oh God and all caught in about half an hour. Super. Nice weather too, what more could you want. Have fun and enjoy yourselves. Greetings from Frankfurt, it was wet and cold here. 37°F.
We had a great day! Please keep all that crappy weather over there. Our weather has been great. 75°F and no rain. We actually could use a little rain. We been in a drought for several months. Thanks buddy and take care!🦀
Lots of rain today, there were flood warnings in some areas of Germany. The temperature was 70°F compared to yesterday at 37°F. You could hear the ambulances until the evening. Many accidents and people passed out with heart and circulatory problems. Crazy, not just the people, but also the weather.
@@datlouisianalife
@@geroldknoebel3836 We finally got a little rain today. Not much but enough to wet the ground. 🍻
Lots of rain here tonight too, fortunately not too cold. It's better if it's cold and snowy, then you don't have this mess everywhere. @@datlouisianalife
I really like your home crib from the outside. But do you have a video of the layout Barndominium or Shouse shop house I would like to see it.
I never did a full video of the house. I have a few videos out there that show a lot of the inside.
Thank you I will look them up.
WOW !!! What an amazing catch on those crabs. You guys sure smoked them . What a great way to start the weekend with a crab boil. Think you got your co worker hooked on that crabbing Keith. Going to be hard keeping him at work . lol
He knows I always take vacation and sick days to go play in the boat. He finally gave in and took me up on an invite. I'm sure he will want to come back with again. Thanks buddy! 🦀
I'm sure he will want to get back out there. He really looked like he had a great time. Glad you guys had a great day.👍
Another Awesome Video and Catch! Ill gladly take a day off work and enjoy that life! Ill need a day for travel coming from Pennsylvania! Lol. B Safe.....
They don't always bite that good! It helps to have a few connections to let you know where to go. Appreciate you buddy! 🦀

Dats how fall crabbin be
Good job
I've never caught that good ever.. usually 1-3 per drop net every now and then.. takes a while for me
That was a very good day. It's not always like that. Takes me a little while most of the time. 🦀
Im from south Ms. and I used to work for Parker and Axxis drilling. Dulac has some good looking fishing waters. I used to hear stories from the locals and they would always talk about how if you messed around in Dulac and you trespassed, either fishing and hunting, you could get shot.😂 Always remember my boat captain talking about a bar called Dulac Dat that always had a lot of fights. He said that was the roughest bar he ever went to. Good.video guys, keep ‘em coming
Dulac Dat? Any chance it could be related to Dat La ...?
I never had any issues with anyone in Dulac. Good people, beautiful area, great fishing! I've actually never been to any bars around there. Appreciate you buddy! 🦀🎣
Would love to be out there with you guys. Miss crabbing in the marshes here on the coast with my Dad and brothers.
We would be out there everyday if we could. Stress free out there. Thank you! 🦀
I keep forgetting to ask you what type of drone you use, it takes great video. Another great video can't wait until the wife and I can get us a place down south Louisiana. God bless and tight lines.
The drone is a DJI mini 3 pro. I been enjoying it. Very small and user friendly. Good luck on your end buddy and thank you!🦀

Where was that weir at? I normally launch at Bason’s launch in Cut Off and cut through the sulfur mine to Grand Bayou. There’s 2 weirs there, but they don’t put out like that one. Good video though.
That dam is located in the marsh behind the first dam. Behind the game wardens camp.

What is the limit in Louisiana? Are the Game Wardens as bad as in Florida? Nice video. Thanks!
The game wardens are around a good bit but they've always been cool with us. As long as you not getting crazy out there, they won't mess with you. The limit where I was at is 12 dozen per boat. Most areas is 12 dozen per person.
@@datlouisianalife Good to know. That drown shot of the Pelicans was really nice also. Good fishing and hunting to you!
