My dad was a sharks fan when I was growing up. I always loved to watch Nabby play. His debut starting game was against a late Roy, he shut the aves out with 39 saves in a game that ended up being 0-0. Amazing goaltender. I believe as of 22-23 he was promoted to director of goaltending for the sharks.
This guy was such a performer, I miss him being on the Sharks but glad he's still in the NHL.
He's the reason I became a Sharks fan.

It wasn't Nabby's fault that the Islanders lost that series, only one or two goals were totally his fault, it was just the defense falling apart at the most inopportune times as per usual BEFORE the last month playoff run, and he was put in the net way too many times, Poulin was more than ready for some extra playing time, he should have been played A LOT MORE than he was.
Nabby I miss you on the Sharks!!! But you'll always be my fav goalie! Luv you man

Nabby deserves much better than the Isles, hope he'll get a team that will understand how freaking amazing he is. Nabby will always be a Shark.

Most underrated player in NHL history. Had he started younger he'd be in the Hall of Fame.
Love Nabokov! Perfect example of a player who believed all the BS about NYI until he got there...then after playing a season there and getting to know the new team and organization, it was an easy decision for him to resign. NYI are the most misunderstood club in the NHL...an absurd amount of sensationalized bad press.
I live in sweden but im a really big sharks fan and especialy of nabokov im going to watch the nhl premier her in globen stockholm when sharks play against columbus i hope its gonna be a great game

It's a shame that Nabby never won the cup or reached the cup finals in San Jose.

Why would they not resign Nabokov? I mean yeah he's had a couple of shaky playoff moments but he was one of the best goalies in the league last season, and for many seasons before. Even if they signed him for a goaltending tandem with Greiss that would have been the smart move. Even then, why didn't the Caps sign him to help with Varlamov, or any other team with a young goaltender?
He never choked in the playoffs, The 2005-06 season was just a miserable year for him, that's why he only played 1 game.

Когда из-за высокой конкуренции в РФ берут гражданство Казахстана и все к этому с пониманием относятся в РФ (яркий пример бокс), но когда наоборот то начинает у подобных тел говно кипеть. Nabby being Nabby? I thought it was going to be a bunch of clips of him letting in weak 5 hole goals. Oh well. Glad he's back in the NHL but also glad he's no longer with the Sharks. He made impossible saves but just couldn't stop the simple ones.

People seem to forget that Nabby was rookie of the year, a two time all star, a finalist for the vezina, and is the second goalie in the history of hockey to have 3 straight 40 win seasons, and is the franchise leader in every statistical category that matters for a goalie. You only do those things if you really, really suck and are a shit goalie. I would much rather have you in net for the sharks, you type on the internet so that means you're good

@ENabokov1999 we didnt trade for dumb crap. That crap was defense. And thts why we didnt win the cup. We loaded on D. And we covered up with some good offense players such as Michael Handzus, Martin Havlat, and James Sheppard.

oh okay. I just don't like how he plays. He only stops low shots. Even though nittymaki has a slow reaction to a shot...he can still stop it. Niemi's is fast but he can't stop it if it is a high shot

@kaylos408 Niemi is not even close to as skilled as nabby, i guess hes probably in the top 15 goalies in the league but his cup win was all about the team infront of him and the sharks just didnt show up in the vancouver series (mostly clowe, heatley and pavelski) still a die hard sharks fan though

he really didn't play so well. If you look at the statistics...they are pretty much average. A stanely cup doesn't mean much. It was mostly the team that one..not him
