OK, so she's not Samantha Fish, but this was still pretty good! Hannah has passion, and she's got some talent. Enjoyed both the song and the performance!

She and Samantha are each their own person with their own unique styles and music, not sure why you're comparing them aside from the fact that you see a female and therefore feel the need to compare to another female which is pretty ridiculous. Music is not a competition

@@1AnitrasDance ~ Could have easily said she's not Stevie Ray Vaughan or Kenny Wayne Shepard, too. It had to do with her guitar skills, and the comparison with Samantha Fish was a shout-out to an excellent female guitarist, which is kind of the antithesis of being chauvinistic or sexist. Despite not being as good as some other guitarists, I still liked her guitar, her singing, and her passion.
Besides, if someone says that a male guitarist is not Jimmy Hendrix, should a person automatically jump to the conclusion that person is being sexist by not comparing him to a female guitarist? Or, had I compared Hannah to a male guitarist, a person could still make the accusation it was sexist by not considering that there were other excellent female guitarists. There would be no pleasing some people choosing to take offense either way. Can you see how ridiculous that is? I'm definitely pro-PC, but taking it too far and being overzealous in policing its application is only counterproductive.
Had you perhaps taken a moment and not been so quick to misconstrue my comment, you might have understood that the totality of my words were actually eschewing the idea of music being a competition. One can appreciate Samantha's superior licks on guitar and still appreciate Hannah's music. What the comment is essentially saying is that so what if she's not as good as some other guitarist, the music is still good. Sometimes we can be oversensitive, and read nefarious things into people's words that are not what is in their minds or what is really being stated. I understand.

I think you missed my point. Appreciate the artist for who they are and what they are doing not for who you think they should be like

@@1AnitrasDance ~No, I got that, and I got that there was a bit more to it than that, too. However, you seem to be missing a point of mine in still misunderstanding that was basically what the comment was about in the first place; it is expressing virtually the same sentiment. My previous reply had underscored that.

Have to respectfully disagree. I've seen Samantha live five times and she is a dynamo, but, Hannah is just as good. The difference is, Samantha tours like a mad woman and works and has worked with some top of the line blues talent (Mike Zito and Tab Benoit to name a few). Samantha is more polished and has her act down very well. Hannah is immensely talented and I hope to see her more on the blues circuit in 2022. If she gets out more, she will be the one to watch. Incidentally, Samantha has gotten rid of her "big band" sound and is now down to a quartet, with no horn section.
