- A person has been shot and killed by police near where the Republican National Convention is being held in Milwaukee.
“We’re getting reports coming through of the shooting now, it doesn’t seem to be related to what’s happening at the RNC,” says Sky News Washington Correspondent Annelise Nielsen.
“What is notable is how quickly law enforcement has responded.”

First day in office sleepy Joe reversed Trump's stay in Mexico orders. He's actively tried to use federal agents to stop Texas border patrol agents from enforcing laws that were in place before both him and Trump. Trying to pass the most recent bill for "border security" that would've done the opposite and just incentivized more people to come here, which lowers our quality of life and increases national danger exponentially. Trying to weaponize our government against a political opponent, which is a violation of our eighth amendment. It's been publicly televised for the last couple years while Biden stumbles across the U.S. talking about his favorite ice cream and sniffing everyone in his path while perpetuating his echo chamber of either delusions or more than likely lies of the current state of our country and more importantly our border. This man is our enemy and has shown zero sympathy for his own countrymen while coddling ILLEGAL ALIENS/IMMIGRANTS with our hard earned cash. Don't forget about his poor handling of Afghanistan. FJB!

@empoweredshemphoward That's good to know. The only details are what they said here-- two guys with a dispute in a park. The only detail I can be sure of is that they are not two Norwegians. I doubt my local media will even bother to report it. This sort of thing happens a lot. I wish it wouldn't happen a lot because my youthful ideals have been completely ground into dust. I witnessed Milwaukee's first race riot as a teen in 1967. I saw the same sort of race riot in 2016. Nothing changes.

My guess is A. because they have reporters there already, basically doing nothing at this hour as the RNC activities are mostly at night. At least the news-worthy activities. Might as well put them to work. And B. They know that because of what happened Saturday, virtually any reporting that makes it look like there's another attempt, even if not related, will generate clicks, and hence revenue.

Compulsory voting is a horrible policy. I moved to Australia 25 years ago and have worked as a scrutineer in a few different elections. There are so many people who show up simply because it's the law, and they just put 1-2-3-4- straight down the line, or do other things that show they don't care, but it can effect the outcome of an election. Voting should always be treated as the right it is, so that only people who actually care about the outcome are voting!

If Annelise Nielsen wrote the "hardline policies" line in her report then that is the at least the second or third time she has said something in a significant negative tone about President Trump. (Maybe she doesn't like him so much?) I'm not sure about if it is just that Annelise Nielsen is negative or the writers of her reports are negative or if they just don't understand American English and our tones here.
