Absolutely. If anyone has any doubts then they should check out they're performance at Live Aid ,Wembley Stadium, 72000 people in 1985.
They stole the show. Absolutely awesome performance especially from Freddie. That's what a front man is supposed to aspire to be. You only have to watch the crowd during We are the Champions. Incredible. RIP Freddie Mercury. 1 of the best to ever do it.
      Anyway Great comment.

I just hope the 80s come back. I have a slight feeling that this will happen soon in music. I mean in fashion the 80s are back for a long time. And there are also a lot of tv shows about the 80s. In general it seems like the past becomes modern again.

    • @Odeon1970
      @Odeon1970 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@isi6845 I hope so. It would be tragic if the only things from the 70s/80s to come back were the surface level things like fashion.

For thirty years I've been a quite deep Queen aficionado and I was pleased to hear that he, Freddie, owned and adored the Who's "Sell Out" and "Tommy." As I also owned "Meaty, Beaty Big and Bouncy," "Live At Leeds," "Tommy," "Quadrophenia," and all of the Who's albums. Another strange thing I learned was - the first inklings of Ibex, Wreckage, Smile and Queen had their first kickings around Shepard's Bush and Ealing - which is the Who's ground zero. Queen, the Who, and Led Zeppelin were/are my number One go to rock bands when I was a young boy and up to now (I'm fifty six). I met Brian May here in Seattle after their 2nd show in The Game Tour. I had never seen such a thing in my life. It was beyond mere Rock n Roll. Thank God I saw the band before the Hot Space/Paul Prenter vision of the band ... RIP Freddie.

Which is true but I’ve never not realized & paid homage to the fact that these were all Brilliant Young Men who not only had Great God Given Musical Talent but also the Willingness To Work Their Fingers to the bone honing it into One Of The Greatest Rock Bands In History. Imm 66 yrs. Old now & One Of My Biggest Dreams Would Be To Go To A Queen Concert!!! Although I highly doubt they’ll be performing in Panama, Oklahoma in This Lifetime!!! What a Story!!! 29:21 the Queen logo for the name is exactly the same as a tee shirt Freddie was wearing in a photograph taken with his family when he was 16. It's in a bio of his early life here on youtube. He's standing between his father, presumably his grandmother and his mother as an only child, wearing that tee shirt with an open jacket over it.

But Adam Lambert but dont a brilliant job of continuing the Queen legacy without imitating Freddie. They found a way....and I'm beyond excited to see them. AND FREDDIE. Roger's thinking gave them the "Jazz" album cover also. I love the input by Ken Testi and Mike Bersin (IBEX) -- informative, fun and appreciative recall of their association with Freddie.

What made them so successful was none of them were alike they each had there own unique talent none of them tried to out do the other, they all needed each other, even now with Adam Lambert he can never replace freddie. He is wonderful on his own to me it's like riding on Queens coat tales. He would do just fine on his own, same way Brian and Roger could have let Queen continue on a softer side they both have great voices true there not Freddie nobody is or ever will sing like Freddie.True Queen fans pick up on notes and sounds that only Freddie can do. So to try to copy him or imitate him just makes no sense and makes me sad. The sadest day in Rock History is when Freddie past away 33 years later I still cry when I hear certain songs or watch his video's. There was just something about him a kind soul. ✌️💚 Rest in Peace. Darling

Might I suggest you continue the phenomenal story of the band in a part two documentary and tell of Paul Rodgers accomplishments and the introduction of Adam Lambert to the band.
The sheer tenacity of the surviving members of Queen is a tribute to Freddie's ideal of "The Show Must Go On"... and they deserve the historical accolades of their achievements...

Brian had a great influence for his guitar sound and equipment in Rory Gallagher, probably the greatest european bluesman and he never received anywhere near the acclaim of Eric Clapton for example despite the amazing compositions, playing and blowing bands like Aerosmith off stage in the USA in the mid 1970s. Im far more a fan of Rory but Queen were a phenomonem, uniquely gifted and far more commercial whereas Rory was like Stevie Ray Vaughan or the king of the telicaster Roy Buchanon who were both groundbreaking in their talent and playing.

America dropped queen because of the "I want to break free" video.

Incorrect. I worked at an FM rock station in Chicago (95.5 WMET) and I Want to Break Free was never removed from rotation. I also saw the video on VH1, Night Flight and MTV.
I really hate the way Queen (mostly May and Taylor) try to label America as uptight prudes. Believe it or not America was familiar with drag and nobody clutched their Pearl's in horror upon seeing the band in drag.
The fact is music in America was changing in the 80's. Hip hop and rap were the focus..... which sucks because most of it is utter crap.

The world was lucky to have Queen, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
Roger Taylor, you are still my favourite musician of all time. Freddie,Brian,Roger and John, no group has ever surpassed Queen.
You guys ruled and rocked the world, the 80’s was my favourite Queen era. Legends. 🇦🇺✨⭐️🎸🥁🎸🪇🎼🎤 no one is too young or too old to love the 4 of you, Queen, history in the making. 🥰❤️ I’m 66 and had every record, my favourite album was “The Works”. My favourite single ( besides the given Bohemian Rhapsody) it was “I want to break free” loved the video too, one of a kind, never to be replaced, took the arenas by storm, the bigger crowd the better.

Hiv will go away when sin does people like their sins and they have no revelation of hell which is where freddie is so none of that will ever go away as long as people keep ignoring God
