How to activate battery level Audi MMI 2G (A4 A5 A6 A8 Q7) Multimedia Interface

- Activate battery level option in MMI 2G system, and check battery condition in your Audi A4, A5, A6, A8 or Q7 Audi car using Multi Media Interface screen.
This easy tutorial does not require diagnostic tools like VCDS, VAG-COM or VAS. You use only hidden green menu in your MMI 2G system.

I just bought an audi q7 -2006. I have the colored screen with maps but I can't access the green screen. I tried to check the version which is installed but there were no hidden menu to enable. Do you think my software is too old?/Richard
+Rickard B software can be old. You can go to car > setup > version > SW to check what is your software version.

I came here seeking help and guidance from anyone who knows what up with my car.
I own a Audi A8 4E 2006
So recently i installed a kufatec unit to enhance my MMI features and performances, but during the process of install i realised my mmi head unit doesnt support it (4E0 035 729), as you probably guess i went a head and brought the right version with cables support and such (4E0 035 729A) all went well and running exept for one thing which is when i turn on/off the car the mmi screen doesnt open/close
This only happens with the new mmi unit, when i switch back to the original it opens and close fine.
So what im asking is if theres an option to set it up so the new unit would open and close the screen?
I own a vcds scanner so the codage to enable it is also very appreciated

hi, I have a6 c6 2006. full color LCD Bose system. CD and sat nav not working, says on screen (CD not installed) (sat nav not installed) any advice please
check if you have at least one CD in the glove box CD-changer and DVD with maps in the navigation drive in the trunk.
I have CD changed in glove box, its takes CDs ,but not playing. I don't have DVD in trunk.phone works well,radio works,
i'm guessing that you're not first owner of this car. Most likely someone did remove some parts or retrofit the MMI 2G system but not complete. You need the DVD drive in the trunk for the navigation to work among other things.
Best if you visit electronic workshop and they will check what you have and what is missing.

2011 A4 Avant, cant find it and the video about the hidden menu does not work......
In 2011 car you most likely have MMI 3G, not 2G.
Please check that first. Then check out information about enabling the hidden green menu at mr-fix.info/
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change the settings on a Audi Q7 2007 from Klm to mpg on the trip display screen ... I have changed the setting to Miles but the small trip display still reads klm/ltr and not mpg.. thanks
CAR > SETUP > Settings > Measurement units
that has nothing to do with what i asked !!!
instrument cluster display is controlled thought the MMI system and the path that I gave you is the place to change the temperature, distance, pressure and fuel consumption units.
If you don't have those settings you can always change the instrument cluster coding with a diagnostic tool.

I have a 2006 Audi A6 with NAV, 6CD changer, Motorola phone, TV, Audi park assist e.t.c but i cannot access the hidden menu. The Audi park assist disappeared suddenly from the CAR menu. Please what can I do to restore the park assist and how can I update my software as I have tried earlier but CD showing error but I can play music CDs. Please help
You need diagnostic interface to enable hidden menu.
And since you need diagnostic interface you can as well enable the parking assist with it.
My car doesn't have a SETUP button. I tried with MENU + CAR buttons, but it doesn't work (I've tried'em all + CAR, nothing) What would be the right buttons in my case. Thank you so much.
You sure you have MMI 2G and not one of the newer systems with different controls and settings?
@@mrfixpl Thank you for answering. I've got a Audi A6 C7, it has a MENU button, no a SETUP button. I've been looking for an answer and found a video showing that I have to activate those buttons using an OBD, is that correct? Could it be that? I'd appreciate immensely if yu could help me.

+mr-fix and can you tell me , how I know exactly if I have MMI 2G or MMI 2G HIGH ??? I think I have MMI 2G HIGH but some guy confused me and told me I have just MMI 2G . So I'm confuse now. :(((
+kidal iwal MMI 2G had two versions: HIGH and LOW/BASIC. HIGH had color lcd screen, LOW used monochromatic, lower screen.
Audi A8 D3 did not had the LOW version at all.
Later it was replaced with MMI 3G.

Some Audis you have to press setup and return to get to the hidden screen. Worked on my 2007 Q7 with 2g high.

Sometimes it's locked and you need to enable it first with diagnostic tool like VCDS, Carista or OBDeleven.
A8 2009 L can't get to that hidden manu???

But please check OBDeleven or Carista. Both devices/apps can enable hidden menu in your car and do even more.
My battery level is always at 100% i dont think its working properly
