Grievous in Legends: Well...a legend
I believed Grievous to be a coward at first, but for the most part in the Clone wars itself he makes tactical retreats, he never goes down with the ship. The only times where he is truly a coward is when he is fighting Jedi and relies on his Droid entourage to make things easier for him.
I like how Kit Fisto called him a coward and yet at the end of the episode runs away from him by getting on his jedi starfighter. The episode where he attacks Grievous's lair. Not to mention how the jedi cheat by using the Force against him. It is not a cheat technically but a scummy move - i was born differently so i will use my magic on you.
Or how they call him a murderer for killing jedi. Bitch please. Jedi are legitimate targets. They are generals and warriors in the enemy army. I don't know who the murderer is. The one that kills their enemies or the jedi that send padawans/children to fight in the Clone Wars. That is a war crime just like faking a surrender, something Obi Wan and Anakin did multiple times.
I really want to like the Clone Wars but they are so one sided and hypocritical that i just can't watch it. Instead of showing the plight of both sides they made this into Republic propaganda.
When the CIS attacks a Republic world it is tyranny but when the Republic attacks a CIS loyal world it is good and freedom.

@@Shadowhunterbg I believe that’s the idea, like Padme you despise the war and want a different method of settling the conflict instead of a war that caused damage to both sides. Or in a way exposed how one side was corrupted from what it once was.
The Jedi who claim they are keepers of the peace chose to participate in a war, and are justifiably labeled as War mongers. Ahsoka Tano herself is a prime example, she was supposedly trained to be a keeper of the peace but instead she spent the war fighting as a Soldier.
It’s like Bariss Offee said, how the Jedi had become villains in the conflict losing their way.
I try not to nit pick too much or you end up going down a rabbit hole and just loosing the magic.He is a great Character as are the fetts etc and I prefer to engage in willing suspension of disbelief but Jedi being defeated by non force users is great for story telling but not so realistic. Force pull, force hold, force crush, force almost anything could be utilised to defeat them or at the least, render them useless.
@@cameronjones8641 In a battlefield jedi getting defeated is very much a possibility. Remember, they have lightsabers, close range melee weapon against artilery, explosives and multiple blasters shooting at you. At the battle of Geonosis the jedi lost the majority of their forces, like 80% to the droids. Geonosis arena fight was a slaughter despite the disgusting bravado of Ahsoka that a single jedi was worth 1000 droids. Bullshit.
Also there were many ways to counter jedi, some being shooting nets, rockets, flamethrowers or slug projectiles (bullets) at them. The Mandalorians were very dangerous jedi killers.
The Force gives jedi more speed and reaction time but it is not realistic how for example Obi Wan can fight a cyborg with four hands while he uses only a single sword. Cool, he has Form 3 which is focused on defence but i want to see in slow motion how he paries 4 swords that are thrusted against him at the same time in different angles.
Those powers are not something each jedi can use. Not everyone is Mace Windu.
They could have introduced for example many episodes where we follow some random jedi, in a span of a single episode or two they make sure to introduce them to the viewers, to be likable, competent but no Obi Wan lvl competent. They fight Grievous and lose in a 1 vs 1 fights and he kills them and takes their saber. That is good story telling. Bad story telling is what they did in the show. Ahsoka, a padawan slicing off the hand of Grievous (the jedi killer) or him struggling against other Padawans like that one Kit Fisto had and yet in that fight Grievous still cheated using a blaster against a young jedi... But the show did everything in it's power to say - but that jedi was a bad one, brash and stubborn. - taking away the victory Grievous had. Not only he cheated but he cheated against an incompetent jedi to win.
Talk about spitting on a character that was supposed to be a tactitian and a very skilled fighter...

He got thirsty for the kill so I hit him a couple times, repulsor blast him, anti-armor him to get him low health and then wrist blade for the kill ez no sweat
I mean.... they are. He fought Lando and Luke, both of which were greatly injured, and finished them off with a thrust, plus Yoda who was cheesed through crawling. The rest were troopers that could barely notice him, much less hit him due to awful accuracy

The best tactical decision when playing Heroes is to hide your Light Saber, because it's easier for the enemy to spot you from afar.
As Grievous it is slightly less of a problem since you use the enemies' colors, but still...

Just keep jumping and using your dodges, and think 3d, don't attack head on non stop. Go in with thrust surge, chop whoever is close and crab rush out when the heat picks up.

He's really easy to kill a lot of people with using clawrush since you can one shot infantry with one of his purple clawrush cards.
I would say Iden is the easiest to get a lot of kills with.

From what I know, Legends Grievous is too durable to even take damage from standard blaster fire unless it's to his eye or something.
He's taken out an entire platoon (or was it a garrison? It was something like 200+ clones) backed up by Jedi without any difficulty.
But yeah, game balance, they can't literally make him nearly invincible.
And he could just spin his weapons to block blaster fire. But here, his block is useless against blaster bolts, leading to a swift death.

If they make a new Battlefront game they need to make the hero's theme play while you're playing as them. Imagine playing as Boba and getting Boba's theme.
Hell, they could use specific skins to determine theme to. Use Boba's regular look you get his original theme, use his Mandalorian look and you get his Mandalorian theme.

It's basically a cheat because it separates characters from their background and makes them easier to spot or target, especially for a short or mid range character

Tbfair clone wars grieuvous had no problem slaughtering clones and jedi knight even on screen - he just had his issues with jedi masters - could be worse
If i recall correctly he actually struggled more against Clones than Jedi - The reason he was so good at Jedi slaying was because he instilled fear in them to disrupt their clarity and connection to the force before overwhelming them by going fully on the offensive, but when it came to guns he simply lacked their ability to predict and block shots, which is why he runs away to clones after fighting a bunch of Jedi single handed lay, and also why he came up against a wall when he duelled Kenobi, who not only caught HIM off guard, but was also the master of defence, something which Greivous just couldn’t compete with.

It shows you just how easy grievous can overwhelm someone, with only a few slashes he cuts down half of the clones he comes across, with one leap he can out maneuver the most basic of enemies. And when it comes to the Jedi, he can be super unpredictable with how he fights with a style so unique that most jedi are baffled by it when they fight him. A perfect villain, (IMO)

For whatever reason Greivous was always extra oppressive on this map.
He is a nearly exclusively melee DPS with little defense other then his health, so a map that is all about ambushes is great for him.
P.S. I love how the droids are camouflaged and the clones stick out. This truly shows that the CIS has better uniforms.
