Yes being so overweight that young in my opinion causes arthritis it sure does in young show horses which they feed up I had a Kelpie that i inherited from my aunt when she passed Brigita was 9 by then If you dont know Kelpies too are a sheep dog she did well but in her last few years she developed arthritis at age 16 really frustrated her as she loved to run my friend who is a vet gave her a Cartrophen injection boy did that make a big difference she had no more stiffness or pain and was able to once again help round up the cattle which she loved I lost her at 18yrs just old age but she had a very good life zhugs to uour dear old Nala xxxx
Are you giving her a supplement to help her joints? There are many to choose from depending on weight and need. They really do help the bigger older dogs! K.
