I like how Edward is written here he’s written in character however, he states that Thomas cannot keep being late while he’s not being rude about it. His accident in a way is him getting his comeuppance. He called Thomas out for being late and in the end he caused even more confusion by crashing. It’s very rare seeing stories about Thomas’s faulty design, so it’s nice seeing something like that.
I really feel like more people should embrace the suboptimal design of the E2 when writing Thomas stories. It plays so well into his origins as a station pilot who wants to see the world but can’t. He really needs to prove that he can be better than his class is thought to be and can be a really useful engine after all.

This was a great story, I always like it when stories on Thomas in the past focus on how his design is faulty, which leads to him wanting to either prove himself or leads to him wondering why he even came to sodor.
I really like this story!! Focusing on Thomas' origins isn't something that's very explored in the fandom, and I for one welcome the serious and realistic feel of this story. I also like the fact that the big engines were from the mainland and are just visiting, and that they picked on Thomas as well as Edward. I also like to think that this was around the time Thomas, Edward and Henry were the only officially owned locomotives on Sodor at this point, and I love the fact that the latter completely ignored Thomas and took himself out on Edward and his accident, like a big engine would do so at this point, but is also quite self-conscious about his paintwork, and was quite annoyed with the whole ordeal.
I love the visuals in this, at several points I was reminded of sitting with my grandfather as a kid and going through his large railway books full of moody black and white photos of steam in its prime. I love how Vicarstown is done here was well, it looks like a combination between the elevated station as seen in the CGI series and the original station layout as seen in C. Reginald Dalby's illustrations for Thomas the Tank Engine (RWS book no. 2)
People haven't really mentioned it, but I really like how Henry was portrayed here. It shows both his kindness in giving Thomas the opportunity to bring the coal to the station, while also his arrogance when complaining about the rain. A nice way to show his positive and negative traits.
please do more of these, because this was near perfect! It´s so difficult to see someone using RWS cannon to write original story, everyone mostly just uses TVS, so keep up the good work
Beautiful lighting, stettings, story telling everything this looks amazing like a movie its even better than the actual movies man this needs to be a full on movie
I remember when I started watching your channel about 2 years ago, when I started my new school. Everyone mocked me for liking Thomas, the baby show, but your videos say so otherwise. THEY ARE LOVELY! The music, the visuals, and your narration makes this beautiful. I love this...
What a lovely story! I'm gonna hazard a guess that this is happening just when the Fat Director had bought Henry, right? If so, I see that you're setting up some nice parallels between Thomas' and Henry's troubles ;3 Also love the Friendship between Thomas and Edward! It's something I really would've liked if they showed more of in the TV show!
Cool! Coach doors that open and close! What more features will they make for this program? 👍 Interesting choice having Thomas work at Vicarstown, when Tidmouth or Knapford would've done just as well.
Where did these models even come from? Looking around doesn't do much other then find broken links or models not quite like these, unless these are custom made models?

I totally agree. There’s so much story potential within the subject that people don’t use and it’s honestly kind of sad to me.
1:12 That was the cleanest tie in of all the Thomas variants I have seen to date.
Congrats on being picked for Tug’s Pick of the Week!

I think 15 year old me would lose his mind if i knew my silly little route would be used for something as stunning as this 💙

"And YOUR talking our of your tender!" Snapped Thomas.
PFFFT HAHA!

Dalby didn’t illustrate it
Payne illustrated Vicarstown, Dalby just re-did his work (& Middleton’s) to match the style of the rest of the series.

You are so inspiring bruh I LOVE THIS
You two definitely have something in common, video quality!!!!!
I definitely agree!
I love the more realistic yet still unique designs you chose for the engines!!!
I LOVE the cinematography on this video god.
The music and the camera work, voice acting is insane
Love this so much!
I love that big black engine breaking the fourth wall and calling out Thomas' class for having shit coal bunkers
It wasn’t even the coal bunker on the E2s that was terrible It was the boiler, consuming all the very fast
@@DeaganParsee-x9byep, all they needed was to have their boilers changed out with maybe an E1 boiler.
@@rhyusbrand8311problem is in Thomas’s case, he IS the boiler.
@lolchipperson11person12 he's the smokebox door, so I think they can change out the boiler and just transfer... the face.
@@rhyusbrand8311 the only problem with that is that smoke box doors are replaceable on engines.
You are a video making god. Like, seriously, how does every shot look SO GOOD?! And don't get me started on the story!
Coincidentally, this video was released on the same day as the 80th Anniversary Story Treasury.
Not by accident I'm for sure!
Gotta love the blue hue,its caused by smoking, which makes this even better
This is brilliant on so many levels
What a lovely story!

Lovely video mate! No idea why I am only just seeing this now!
God sent here by the recommendation of unlucky tug and I got to say happy I watched! Very nice camera and lighting work!
When fan stories have been better than the last 6 years of the original show:
I love the story and the music is perfect and detailed🫶
that was pretty good.
loved how you introduce edward and thomas!
I like this, made me smile after a long day. Thank you for making this video
Now that's a good story
I have to say, this was a really nice story. Love the narration, reminded me a bit of Johnny Morris's narration.
This is so amazing I’ve never seen anything so beautiful
Bro, you need to make more of this Because I love this.
Cool! This video hasn't been marked... Yet!
20 bucks says Henry was playing up his steaming problems so that he wouldn't have to go out in the rain.
Incredible and simply awesome! As always, keep up the delightful work!!! 👍😊👍
Today November 7th is my birthday This is the best gift
Interesting take on Thomases design
absolute cinema
Cool! Coach doors that open and close! What more features will they make for this program? 👍
Interesting choice having Thomas work at Vicarstown, when Tidmouth or Knapford would've done just as well.
it was literally where he worked in the books
El megor video 236/10
Awesome story! Love the narration
Wonderful story
It's beautiful, I love it!
i love your videos and adtpations, congratulations, greetings from mexico
Beautiful work on this video!
I love it!!! An amazing new interpretation of Thomas and the filming quality is next level!
This was beautiful and such a nice story ✨
1:12 what kinda whistle sound is that and it's really perfect for Thomas
noice winwatch
I love the video
Well done.
Kudos to you!
1:56 Thomas is a "she"? wut? That is a narration error. That made my day. XD
I was about to mention that. Seriously, how was that mistake undetected?
narrator might just be whistling a bit with the "h" part of the word, since they correctly say "he" for the rest of the video
The narrator was whistling for a split second, he says “he”
Where did these models even come from? Looking around doesn't do much other then find broken links or models not quite like these, unless these are custom made models?
Bro did not cook, he burned the house down 💀
I prefer Thomas in his original Marsh E2 design, not the silly E2/J50 hybrid Thomas and friends predicted
We're at a point where fans are making better content than the actual owners.
1:20 man you cant just jumpscare us with nightmare full like that gezze
epic video! by chance will there be an reference sheet for the layout of vicarstown?
Oh its my vicarstown lol and it sucks, its best to wait for when i eventually release the redo
@@jaytrain06 oh? well i dont think it sucks it looks really amazing if you use lightings correctly!
Is Edward a LNER D21 in this?
Who else is here from Tug?
where do i get that big Vicarstown sign on the canopy i need it for my route
Does anyone know why I can't turn on the notification Bell for this dude
because all of his content is marked for kids for some backwards reason
Bruu@@GL0riouz
where is thomas model from?
I dont know what happend to the big engine's tessing thomas after the incident
Where did you get those tender engines?
the AEG mention needs scrapped. it's a disgrace to the original
