  • As Georgian Orthodox, practicing their faith is an important part of many Georgian soldiers’ life. The soldiers in Camp Marmal, Mazar-e-Sharif, attend service every day and pray for fellow soldiers in their one-of-a-kind Georgian Orthodox church which they built by hand.

    Unfortunately, The Chapel on the AMERICAN side was taken away because it offended someone, how very sad. Your church is very beautiful!

      I dont remember seeing a chapel on the US side in 2012.
