What I love about this song is how it breaks off of the original 1984 at the end. Rather than Winston becoming fully complacent, in saying that he truly loves big brother and being shot in the head, he takes one final impossible rebellion in not just thinking but screaming a immutable truth, one he was explicitly tortured to claim as false. Two plus Two is Four.
a... 1984 song. HELL YEAH! That Non-fiction mix is extremely good too! Absolutely impressive that you can just make two whole ass sets of lyrics for one song!
There’s something beautifully raw in the non-fiction mix. It rings true, emotion-filled. Beautiful. Part of what drew me to this music. Both of these songs are probably my favorites you’ve released yet. I look forward to seeing what you publish next. Take a break, if you need.
WE'VE BEEN JASHED AT 6 AM !?? this is so cool another certified banger from mr. Chonny jash. So glad my highschool english teacher forced us to read this book

these songs overall were peak, but the non-fiction mix especially just has such raw fucking emotion, almost made my cry actually taking in the lyrics good stuff jash, can't wait for what you have in store
words cannot describe the emotional journey that last minute or so of ode of the cog took me on. first the most painful rug pull i've ever heard and then catharsis... sir you're gonna make me tear up
Oh, this one is an interesting change. Far more speaking tone... intriguing. Also caught it 30 seconds after posting, nice. Great as always! EDIT: The non-fiction mix... eerily reminiscent of TFAR, huh... EDIT 2: I wish you the best, CJ! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where you go from here. Not quite here from the start, but I'm not leaving, you're stuck with me now!
Another banger!!! You're just soaring through genres and sounds lately, Chonny. Not to mention It's insane to me how you always upload when I genuinely need it most. I had such a bad night. Thanks king! Edit: I am absolutely begging you to do something related to Phantom of the Opera (the novel itself instead of the musical, of course.) I think you could do something incredibly interesting with something about Erik
funny how you posted this on my birthday instead of the usual sunday. But i dont care because this is the BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER Nice one as per usual Mr jash
i like how as the video progresses, Winston looks less and less monstrous and veiny and more fuller and human, there's no actual evidence but i feel the point is made. also, the monologues by Winston originally feel like a sorrowful tune sung by a voice no one can hear, but as the song progresses someone does infact hear, making the second time the rhyme is sung more fuller, until the party seemingly intercepts the meeting of the two and drive it into a cacophonous noise, possibly symbolizing the torture in room 101 with the sudden loud noises and sudden stops, with the ending returning to the singular rhyme with a sullen tone behind it, signaling that the rhyme cannot be finished, but it can end.
if anyone is confused on what 'ode of the cog' is based off of; if you've never heard of it, it's based off a book named 1984 by george orwell. it's a dystopian novel that tells the story of a man named winston. society is completely controlled and monitored, and winston struggles to be allowed to have a thought that is his that isn't misinformation or just blatantly controlled by the society he lives in. maybe read it, if you'd wish (or don't).
did not expect this on a thursday!!! very excited to finish listening to this edit: hOOOLY SHT where do i begin?? fucking . this is SO GOOD im !! i love this so much!! as with all of your other songs, immediately gonna add this to my playlists, you are so talented mr jash im so happy about this

this is beautiful. i don't even know what to say. and the non-fiction mix really strikes a chord with me, honestly... the future is scary, but as long as what you're doing now truly makes you happy, i think it's worth doing. and... thanks for doing it.
my nose started bleeding in the middle of the song anyways, while i know not where this is from, it feels incredibly familiar the instrumental was incredibly soothing!!! you are very good at instrumenting, my good sir. i could say that for all of the songs in this album
oh. my. god. this is BEAUTIFUL, such AMAZING SONGS!!! I love the first, but the second seems so genuine. i sincerely hope that whatever it entails, things go well for you from here onwards. BUT LIKE OH MY GOD THE SOUND IS SO PLEASING TO THE EARS, keep up the good work Chonny!!!!
you probably should’ve included like an epilepsy warning for this one, since the visuals can get pretty intense in the first part, But aside from that, Another banger by the jash!
jash once again proving himself as a poet !! the effects added to the vocals in this one are so pleasing to listen to. this series keeps adding book after book to my reading list. amazing job edit: i got the book for about 8 dollars at a used bookstore. will update once i finish it
I know right, the effects he uses sound really nice in this song. The deeper voice after the chorus has a really cool quality that I can only compare to the automated speaker system in Half-Life 1 (I'm assuming this is a vocoder?) and the bitcrushed vocals in the chorus just sound really cool
Now, correct me if I’m wrong man, which I very well suspect to be the case, but it seems like the second song is about the struggles of becoming a songwriter on TH-cam full time and making music instead of having a repetitive soul crushing job. I can see how it would relate to the 1984 theme as in both it seems that you’re no more than a cog in the machine, and the lyrics strongly hint it as well. Especially the part of the people around Jash to be discouraging of his dreams and how scary it is to actually take the plunge and commit yourself to doing what you love at the expense of money and sacrifice. Because let’s face it, TH-cam is a rather unpredictable field and it’s subject to change at any moment and for someone who wants to make it their full time gig it’s very daunting. Perhaps that’s what the song implies is the “stall” and why the narrator took 2 weeks off to never return. Either way, on the slim chance that it is the case of the song’s subject matter, I wish you the very best in pursuing your endeavors!
Ah it appears that indeed I was right, well best of luck to you sir, idk if you may ever read this comment of slight encouragement but regardless, wish you the best in your TH-cam career
Every time I hear any of your new or just released songs it always puts a smile on my face keep up the amazing work your songs are amazing and thank you for giving us such amazing songs!
amazing man!!! u continue to hit it out of the park B:] exciting to hear u might be doing this full time ?!?! (assuming im reading 'dear machine. hate, the cog' right). make sure u take care of urself through it all!
"Damn, this is pretty good, ooo the oranges and lemons rhyme! Oh 'she' sounds interesti- WAS THAT MY NAME?" And oh my god all the 1984 references I haven't read the book or seen any adaptations of it, but I knew Winston because I looked up the line in Mucka Blucka anyway fantastic song will definitely be listening again
@Weremsye1 the line "And Winston trudges through Minitrue's minutiaе" it is right after "sisyphus his rock, the time piece its tock" I don't have a time stamp for the song tho 😭

I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
edit: HOLY I JUST LISTENED TO THE WHOLE THING
WHERE THE HELL DO I EVEN BEGIN THIS SOUNDS AMAZING WHAT
this is beautiful. i don't even know what to say. and the non-fiction mix really strikes a chord with me, honestly...
the future is scary, but as long as what you're doing now truly makes you happy, i think it's worth doing. and... thanks for doing it.
hello fellow jashlings
This is probably the most emotionally packed song from you yet, I really like it
the original is amazing but the non-fiction remix has to be one of my favorite songs you've done by far.
my nose started bleeding in the middle of the song
anyways, while i know not where this is from, it feels incredibly familiar
the instrumental was incredibly soothing!!! you are very good at instrumenting, my good sir. i could say that for all of the songs in this album
FYI, it's the book 1984.
@@magmamouse7270 thank you!!!
Early Jash upload? Heck yeah.
This song scratches my brain in a good way, ngl. Listening to a new song in a math classroom will never get old
HELL YEAH MAN SO EXCITED. THANKS MR JASH RIP THE SCHEDULE
oh. my. god.
this is BEAUTIFUL, such AMAZING SONGS!!!
I love the first, but the second seems so genuine. i sincerely hope that whatever it entails, things go well for you from here onwards.
BUT LIKE OH MY GOD THE SOUND IS SO PLEASING TO THE EARS,
keep up the good work Chonny!!!!
unironically listening to this while doing math hw
Another chonny classic! Heart coming in after winston said five was a welcome surprise
Heart?
@@Weremsye1 he used the same voice filter that he does for the heart in the tally hall covers
you probably should’ve included like an epilepsy warning for this one, since the visuals can get pretty intense in the first part, But aside from that, Another banger by the jash!
jash once again proving himself as a poet !! the effects added to the vocals in this one are so pleasing to listen to. this series keeps adding book after book to my reading list. amazing job
edit: i got the book for about 8 dollars at a used bookstore. will update once i finish it
I know right, the effects he uses sound really nice in this song. The deeper voice after the chorus has a really cool quality that I can only compare to the automated speaker system in Half-Life 1 (I'm assuming this is a vocoder?) and the bitcrushed vocals in the chorus just sound really cool
@@electrisoma dude i swear, if i had a nickel for every jash fan ive seen who a fan of, or at least knows of valves games, i would have three nickels.
@@sydmohammadali6421 ah, a count of 3, fitting
@@electrisoma hey, yeah
I really love this one!! Especially how it completely changes pace at the end!
I’m in class rn but gotta keep the chonny Jash grind
Did not expect a song about 1984 but I welcome it with loving arms.
I would pay an obscene amount of money to see Chonny Jash live
Whenever I see the notification that Chonny posted I act like a little kid who just woke up on xmas morning

"Damn, this is pretty good, ooo the oranges and lemons rhyme! Oh 'she' sounds interesti- WAS THAT MY NAME?" And oh my god all the 1984 references I haven't read the book or seen any adaptations of it, but I knew Winston because I looked up the line in Mucka Blucka anyway fantastic song will definitely be listening again
mucka blucka??? what?? whereeee
@Weremsye1 the line "And Winston trudges through Minitrue's minutiaе" it is right after "sisyphus his rock, the time piece its tock" I don't have a time stamp for the song tho 😭
